They did the whole new album in order right in the middle of the set with cool string and brass interludes. It was magic. I find it weird the band broke up when he was the sole member lmao 2

Entre_Perpetuo Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 Taylor Swift - Speak Now that and my own music is all atm

When this song came out, I went from being a fan wondering if she was as good as I thought she was to, "oh, okay, she has more potential than I ever realised!". The fact she didn't revisit this style for nearly a decade was very sad to me.
Segue Myles Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 I wouldn't say obsessed, at least not yet, but I'm remembering very distinctly why it is Lacuna Coil have been a constant presence in my life since I first heard them in 2005. I love them still, very dearly.

Segue Myles Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 I've just played four Alan Parsons Project albums in a row. I guess that's today's obsession! Great band.
Entre_Perpetuo Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Jackson Browne - Running On Empty The Load Out is just one of those perfectly imperfect moments.

It's always slow going with Segue cause i know artists he'd love but when i'm excited about someone he decides to move slowly on them i've been nagging him on JB for a good year and change. He did enjoy the album for everyman so little victories, lol i know he works and all but it's maddening. Mick 1 1

I do think it’s very good, but it sags in the middle for me a bit. Great start and ending, and a few moments in between come close. Edited January 12, 2024 by Entre_Perpetuo 1

condemned2bfree Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 Keep listening to Passion And Warfare.
Segue Myles Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 Today, Judas Priest. The new song is a slowed down anthem, the sort of song I think Priest are great at. It inspired me to put on Point Of Entry and now I'm eyeing up other albums! 2

Well I always figured there must be more going on with her as a musician than the headlines focus on, but nothing I heard ever really interested me until you sent me that video of Haunted.

Trust, I've heard this a lot. I actually got a bit sick of Swift when Folklore dropped and all of a sudden everyone was a lifelong fan 1

I prefer to engage with artists on my own terms rather than just through hype, and I still remember listening to folklore around when it came out and just feeling uninterested by it. I’m sure that will be different when I give it a shot next, but at the time I did not need to follow the bandwagon.
