Guts is great, if you're in the mood for it.

Glad you clicked finally with Behemoth. They are magic, mesmerising, dark, and the band is made up of some genuinely lovely, warm and intelligent guys! I really like the frontman's country side project too.

Epica atm

I'm going through a serious mental health battle. I'm on the mend now but it's been hard. I camt handle heavy metal, intense rock or anything much like I normally do.

Epica is me dipping my toes back into heavier waters. They encompass everything I love with a level of seriousness that I am gravitating towards these days. Plus, they are heavier than Nightwish, but also highly melodic.

Will be a while before I join Mick in an Opeth or Behemoth binge lol

Aside from Epica, I'm enjoying nineties alt pop and soft rock.

Still all the metal i've been binging  but i've added the new Rodrigo. it grew on me 2nd day like immediately.

i've been sick with COVID.  very mild but still felt dead tired yesterday.  and i think i had zero patience for anything in that state. lol.

it's a FANTASTIC new album.

thanks i feel better already.  just a cough now. last night was like the peak.  i felt like someone was shaking me while i was upside down.  Dizzy as hell.

but a good night sleep did the trick.

as far as Olivia.  she's a special artist i feel it.  i love how she uses real instruments in her music insteas of mindless pop or trap beats "glares a hole at swift"

Not that you can't make it work....see billie Eillish but it's refreashing to hear a BAND in pop music coming back.

Paradise Lost

For a good five years I valued Paradise Lost as my favourite metal band. Of course after a while I overplayed them and forgot about them for a bit, but coming back to them now, they are everything I love about the genre.

Their influence on female fronted metal is extraordinary as well, especially as they don't have a female singer. It's just so good to have this band back in my life. I really treasure their British Doom and Gloom when I myself am suffering with the morbs.

Eclectic catalogue, great songs, phenomenal guitarist, terrific vocals, I love everything about them.

Still enjoying Paradise Lost (particularly their more commercial era).

Throw in Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters and The Goo Goo Dolls. Loving me some nineties rock and alt.

Today I'm all about Jimmy Eat World. Oof...one of the best bands ever.

Eat my ass if you disagree

I remember them. They had that one big hit like 20 years ago 😄

The Middle was a huge mainstream hit, but they're very well-respected in the alternative scene. They're widely considered to be one of the big innovators in the emo scene.

Agreed. I think Bleed American and A Praise Chorus could've been hits, too.
