Lorraine
What is the line a Rush fan has to cross before they become a fanatic? How many attended Rush concerts make one a fanatic? Does owning everything bearing a Rush logo make one a fanatic?
Tony R
Fanboy is worse than fanatic. You have to cross the YYZumbi line. If you can answer "yes" to the question "have you paid for a Rush bootleg in the last 20yrs?" then you are over the line into fanboy.

Disk98
The way I see it, there is no "line," per se, but rather a whole gray area. Fandom is one thing, but fanaticism is unhealthy. I'm not in any sort of authoritative position on the matter, but I believe that one is a fanatic when the object of interest interferes with one's daily life to the point where it affects productivity and concentration.
Blue J
Does owning everything bearing a Rush logo make one a fanatic? I would venture that that qualifies, yes. Fanatics are prey to marketing machines...and Rush's seems to be chugging along nicely. :eyeroll: (I don't even own a t-shirt anymore. Perhaps I'm not even a Real Rush Fan*).

Super25Smasher
I have a t-shirt, I've seen them live, and have all official studio and live releases. I've never paid for a bootleg. What does that make me?

What does that make me? A fan since you said "a t-shirt" which leads to me believe you only own one. I have five. :) Maybe six. i haven't counted lately.
