Time Machine Tour

I'm wondering what the reason Rush gave for their Time Machine tour. Why I'm asking is because I noticed it followed closely on the heels of the Snakes tour.

Even if some of you might be saying "Wow, what a stupid thread!" be grateful it's not another :sigh: Neil thread. ;) :hi:

:goodone: Great thread Lorraine. It was probably a combination of all of the above responses. A good way to test drive the new songs, celebrate "Moving Pictures", make some money while preparing for the new album. It was a good tour, in my opinion...what great fun it was to see/hear "Moving Pictures" played from start to finish.

Whatever the reason was, I´m glad they did that tour, since I was able to catch them live on two dates - Rio and São Paulo. My wife went to the Rio show with me, and almost got deaf with the Far Cry and Marathon explosions!

I read somewhere, can remember exactly where, that Ray Danniels was infected with pubic lice during that tour.

That's an easy fix, though.

There's a good bootleg video from the tour - one of Tapehead2's - of their MSG concert on April 10, 2011. Were you there ReGor?

Oh yeah...with the lovely Queen of Megadon, Prime Mover (from RIAB), Jen Sawyer (From Pittsburgh), and others.

Bands make more money touring nowadays since album sales are no longer a prime revenue stream.

Demand. Rush does pretty well selling concert tickets.

Rush, at the time, still enjoyed playing live.

Two sections back on Alex's side, about 10 rows from the floor.

Got it. I hear you singing along to Freewill.

John Rogers, how are you always privy to these things?

I got a friend named David Pecker who has sources.

There's always hope for Rush songs growing on you. Lately, a song I never especially cared for, has grown on me - Marathon.

I love Marathon and often used it while doing my run for the annual USAF fitness test.
