Lucas
I'm tossing in Eric Johnson too, as some of his stuff is absolutely mind blowing .. but he's too stiff at times

I'm amazed watching video of his live performances, but I can't find the right headspace to listen to an album for very long. (Not too interested in the herbal or chemical recipes to enhance that...)

Mr. Not
I can't wrap my brain around the statement "Hendrix is overrated". It only comes from people who can't pinpoint exactly what impact he had and how innovative he was.. Today he just sounds like your average fantastic guitar player so people can get confused as to what sets him apart.
Mr. Not
Jani Liimatainen has been and always will be a personal favorite of mine. He hasn't written a single guitar solo I don't enjoy, often times hearing his solo will be the best part of any song he's a part of... Just amazing writing and playing all around. Imitation and influence does have a way of watering something down over time.
