Lorraine
Do you think Rush would want to end their career with ten thousand and more fans weeping and wailing and depressed as anything at the end of each show because it's the end of the road? They will end their career on an upbeat note. And maybe they will see you again one day. Maybe they won't. They don't know what the future holds, so they aren't going to commit themselves positively one way or the other. By the way I think this new thread is kind of silly but you know it's all in good fun. Edited July 8, 2015 by kentpilot

Bard
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies... :| It's a great line from Shawshank, no doubt. :) But there really is no need for hope. Bands retire. It's inevitable. I continue to fail to see the logic of wanting your favorite bands to play themselves into the grave.

DistantEarlySignals
I think it may very well be their last tour. Like they've said, they might do some more shows, and almost certainly (from what they've said) will do another album or two. And who knows. I think that they are gonna give themselves a few months after the current tour before discussing what the future holds.

msrushfreak
It would be cool if they did an R40+ mini tour. Not a grueling full blown tour, but a few shows at a comfortable pace that they can pour everything in to, and then put out a DVD.Now, lets talk about a dream setlist for that! andreww
I think it may very well be their last tour. I think that they are gonna give themselves a few months after the current tour before discussing what the future holds. Problem is that with the state of the music biz, doing an album and not supporting it with a tour is like pouring money down a sink hole. No doubt these guys like making music, but they are not stupid. There will be more tours, probably in the 10 -15 date area, but they will happen.
