Lorraine Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) Do you think Rush would want to end their career with ten thousand and more fans weeping and wailing and depressed as anything at the end of each show because it's the end of the road? They will end their career on an upbeat note. And maybe they will see you again one day. Maybe they won't. They don't know what the future holds, so they aren't going to commit themselves positively one way or the other. Edited July 8, 2015 by Lorraine 8

By the way I think this new thread is kind of silly but you know it's all in good fun. Edited July 8, 2015 by kentpilot 2

That One Guy Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 What else is he gonna do, end shows with, "Goodbye forever!"? 4
laughedatbytime Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 What else is he gonna do, end shows with, "Goodbye forever!"?How about "Neil hopes to see you again real soon sometime"? 1

Bard Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 TAKE THAT, BARD~ Means nothing, kid. Take the hints. Which aren't that small. 1
Bard Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies... :| It's a great line from Shawshank, no doubt. :) But there really is no need for hope. Bands retire. It's inevitable. I continue to fail to see the logic of wanting your favorite bands to play themselves into the grave. 1

Crimsonmistymemory Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust, all good things will come to an end is a Must
DistantEarlySignals Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I think it may very well be their last tour. Like they've said, they might do some more shows, and almost certainly (from what they've said) will do another album or two. And who knows. I think that they are gonna give themselves a few months after the current tour before discussing what the future holds.

On the outside I was an honest man. I had to go to prison to learn how to be a criminal.
zappafrank Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 Gotta love how people take a silly post and run too far with it.
msrushfreak Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 It would be cool if they did an R40+ mini tour. Not a grueling full blown tour, but a few shows at a comfortable pace that they can pour everything in to, and then put out a DVD.Now, lets talk about a dream setlist for that!
Xanadu Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Maybe he just means walking down the street somewhere. In which case, make sure you say hi. :) 1

andreww Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I think it may very well be their last tour. Like they've said, they might do some more shows, and almost certainly (from what they've said) will do another album or two. And who knows. I think that they are gonna give themselves a few months after the current tour before discussing what the future holds. Problem is that with the state of the music biz, doing an album and not supporting it with a tour is like pouring money down a sink hole. No doubt these guys like making music, but they are not stupid. There will be more tours, probably in the 10 -15 date area, but they will happen.
