Oh, so many things:

Maybe I'll just vaca back to Detroit and go crazy: Hit Xochimilco's in Mexican Town for a Botana (super nacho with Mexican chorizo) and some flautas. Senate Coney Island for some "Michigans" (coney dogs with chili onions, and mustard). The original Buddy's Rendezvous for some Detroit style Sicilian Pizza and an antipasto salad. A neighborhood bar for a plateful of pan fried perch and french fries. A Big Boy. A Sander's Hot Fudge Cream Puff. Into Hamtramck for some Polish fare. And last but not least, a sack of Whitey One Bites (White Castle). Yeah, that's the ticket!

Don't these muffins sound good? I think I will make them come Autumn:

Morning Glory Muffins

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/4 cups white sugar

2 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp. salt

2 cups shredded carrots

1/2 cups chopped walnuts

1/2 cup unsweetened flaked coconut

1 apple, cored and shredded with a cheese grater

3 eggs

1 cup vegetable oil

2 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat over to 350. Grease 12 muffin cups, or line with paper muffin liners. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking soda cinnamon and salt with a wire whisk. Stir in carrots, nuts, coconut and apple. In a separate bowl, beat together eggs, oil and vanilla. Stir egg mixture into the flour/carrot mixture, just until moistened. Fill each prepared muffin cup 2/3 full with batter. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.

Medium-rare ribeye with some potatoes and such. That'd be nice.

That would work for me pretty much any day of the week.

9:30am here and I'm waking up with a gripping hangover...some pizza would taste good right about now.

Here,

Have some of this. :digi: :pizza: :pizza: :pizza: :D

Tasty! Thanks!

Had that stupid hangover until the late evening that day. That's what I get for going to all-you-can-drink (and eat) rooftop beer garden followed by a having a couple more at a nearby bar. Should never listen to the inner voice of GreedyDebaucheryBlaze.

Ketchup? I'm an A-1 gal myself. :)

Most people who love steak are like you (either that or Heinz 57 or Worcester Sauce), but I dip the steak into ketchup. I love the way it taste.

I wish I was in Toronto right now, at the former Maple Leaf Gardens. Part of that complex was converted into a Loblaws superstore, and in the bakery section, they have the best tasting donuts IN THE WORLD!!!  An apple fritter donut or a Boston Cream donut right now would be heaven for me. Maybe both after the day I had, lol.

There is a good choice of ready to eat food in that store, such as pizza (also delicious). They have a seating area, and pictures of past Maple Leaf Gardens performers are on display under the glass on the tables. There is a nice picture of Geddy playing the double-neck on display at one of the tables..
