Lorraine Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 i think I will listen to In The End right now from ATWAS! 3
x1yyz Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Although The Garden would have been the perfect closing song for any other tour, with this tour and with this setlist concept there was no choice other than Working Man for the last song. 1
WIDE-ANGLE WATCHER Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 In The End would tear me up and tear me up...If they play In The End as the final song in Los Angeles...There will still be fans on this forum debating if...This is it.If Neil stands up at the end of the show and says "I am done"There will still be fans on this forum debating if...This is it. 3

GabesCavesOfIce Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 (edited) I, too, would have chosen the Garden. For their last tour, in 2022. Don't let VS see this, the dude is like the retirement police . Edited May 15, 2015 by Gabrielgil513
GabesCavesOfIce Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 I got Lakeside Park. How cool is that? You left Goatnut for Port Dalhousie?

I've been wondering for awhile VS if you knew NEP personally?
Lorraine Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 I don't think he would tell you if he did, and no one should expect him to.
Lorraine Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 That's why they are playing the full length Xanadu as well. They read my posts. :) 3
Citizen of the World Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Big, dramatic ending.....Grande Finale. They have assumed control.
GabesCavesOfIce Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 I don't think he would tell you if he did, and no one should expect him to. He did bait the question? Doesn't matter, wouldn't be the first time Ged n Al had to find a new drummer ;) 1

MJH Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Great question!, too many great songs, too decide from..."wish them well"
Pause Rewind Replay Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 What song would you have had them do as the very last song? I would have gone with The Garden. It sums up their forty years quite well, and there wouldn't have been a dry eye in the house. If they finished with the Garden, I'd have beaten the traffic by walking out 7 minutes early. Shame they ended their best album in 20+ years with their most boring song since Heresy. I have to say I loved the reverse chronology setlist, Working Man was the best way to end it. They just should have played the whole 7+ minutes of instead of barely 5.
geezer Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 (edited) Finding My Way - first track on side A of debut album. Can't go back further. Edited May 16, 2015 by geezer
Digital Dad Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Forget Animate and RTB. Go CTTC and GOAC and don't forget about Presto and HYF.
jnoble Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 (edited) from the audio I heard posted on Youtube, How It Is sounded really good live. While I love that song, I never liked the effect on Geddy's vocals during the verses on the studio version. It sounds like he's singing through a speaker phone or something. I don't understand why someone thought that would sound good and add to the song. Edited May 16, 2015 by jnoble
