bobo32
Just got home from the show. They sounded awesome. ged's voice was great. Very emotional at the end thinking that might be the last time seeing them live but if it was Wow what a way to go out and I had 3 of my kids there with me to enjoy it. I do wish we could make time stand still at times like that.

Tombstone Mountain
damn periscope and Rush are ruining my marriage... The first step is admitting I have a problem I guess if I had the cash and time, I would be at every Rush show...Headphones bro! oh, I've got my Grados on! It's just I'm absent for 3 hours 3 nights a week....on the computer.... in addition to going out to band practice and gigs on weekend.... well, I guess there were those times she was binge watching Grey's Anatomy or something.... haha... I may have to cut back on the periscope addiction - next show is Saturday, can I do it?I doubt it....we're now officially addicts

Funky Chicken
Except it's not a nine string bass. It's a 4 string bass with a 6 string guitar so geddy can play rhythm guitar. Therefore 28 strings. http://www.edroman.c...ges/ricdbl3.jpg picture of the guitar. it's 4 + 12No it is not. 1978 Rickenbacker Model 4080/12 (FireGlo) Look at this photo, Geddy has never played a 12 string rick on stage. http://www.doublenecksg.com/images/upload/Image/Rickenbacker_4080_Doubleneck,_White_.jpg http://www.rushisaband.com/images/201505/3430.f.jpg GEDDY PLAYS A SIX STRING, I'm tried of people pretending it's a 12 string for some unknown reason Yeah, um, incorrect. The White on is a 4080/6. Bass on top and 6 strings on the bottom. That picture is from a soundcheck. I have seen 50+ shows since 1980 (multiples every tour) and only seen that particular instrument onstage ONCE, at my very first show 5/10/1980 at the Palladium in NYC. The Jetglo (black) and the newly acquired Fireglo (sunburst) are BOTH 4080/12s. It says so specifically in the R40 Tourbook. The black one is the workhorse. It's the one from all of the old performance videos and the one used live on Bangkok and Xanadu on ESL. Look at the headstocks. The white one has a flat face and the hook at the top edge while the other two are shaped differently and channeled out to accommodate the 6 extra tuning machines. No room for debate on this point. Sometimes he doesn't. I guess it depends on the song. But, I certainly noticed him doing it. Of course, it seems like there are a lot more videos this tour than the last tour, so maybe he was doing it before and I just didn't notice.

x1yyz
Can someone give me the bottom line on St. Louis? Good? Not so? Better than Tulsa? Very good. Their playing was slightly better than Tulsa, and Alex seemed more animated. But nothing compares to seeing that show as it unveiled for the first time.
