I've listened to this more than any other "isolated instrument" track. (Although it's not entirely isolated)

John Myoung is awesome.

I just wish they'd stop burying him in final Mixes. though the Self Titled spotlighted him.

Today I bought the remastered versions of:

Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin II

Led Zeppelin III

Houses Of The Holy

Physical Graffiti

I wanted IV but the store was sold out.

Not many left to collect!

I never owned these before aside from PG so I don't mind the expense.

Finally discovered an album I can get overly passionate about.

Grey- Contrast.

Two years I've been waiting. I couldn't be more in love!

I'm finding Zep III a really nice challenge. More so than the first two. Definitely a more intricate work.

Do I still get tired of the vocals? Yes but they aren't as annoying to me as they used to be. Not at all.

I think my interest in LZ is unlikely to progress past PG. Now I like PG...I've not heard anything in full after that one and I didn't like what I heard enough to care.

Also, the remasters sound amazing! These will likely be the only times I ever buy these albums and I think I chose wisely. I really don't care about bonus tracks though.

PG is not as good to me as people say.

and you're not missing much after but that's just me.

that band went out with such a whimper.

Mick

Also the price of the remasters of the post PG albums is insane!

Checked two stores today. Both had II for about £5-£8. Coda and Presence were £18 and £21 respectively.

Who...wants...these...at...that...price?

I love PG. The eight original songs alone are enough to make it my favorite. The outtakes and shorter songs throughout make it a nice listening experience. It's not without it's weak points, and typically if an album is fluffed up too much I'll rate it lower, but it's not big enough of a problem with this album.

The only real issue I have with the album is the closing track.

I can't speak for the Bon Jovi album (Don't listen, don't judge) but Sonata was a definite disappointment...and even though there's 19 days left in 2016 and I haven't listen to it in full yet...The Astonishing might go down as one of the worst albums I know of this year (Should I even bother listening to it this late into the year?). I'll give the album another listen, but The Violent Sleep Of Reason (Meshuggah) while chaotically dominating is IMO an inspirationally disappointing album compositionally from what I remembered of it and might make my "disappointment/worst of" list of 2016.

Your list is actually pushing me to just go all out with list week when I do it, like I'm thinking of including Top 5-10 Shows (I did see 18 this year so 10 might be a good number), Top 10 "Discoveries", etc. I kinda feel a Top 10 AOTY list just doesn't do it for me.

I'm actually really loving Physical Graffiti! It is a really fantastic album.

So far, based not on memory but solely on what I've played recently and enjoyed with a fresh mind set, I am going to rank Led Zeppelin based on what I've bought to date:

6. Physical Graffiti

5. Houses Of The Holy

4. III

3. IV

2. II

1. I

I've played Presence and liked it A LOT but don't own it yet and am waiting to own it and play it more before I decide. I'm thinking it's top three.

Houses Of The Holy, Mick, might also work its way up. I really loved it today!

It's nice to finally connect with this band. It started with me getting hooked on their debut.

Basically I like II, Houses, PG and Presence. Coda as well. And that's it. When he Levee Breaks is great. But thats about it.

I started today off with a weird variety of songs on Youtube.

Some PG songs were thrown in. I'm sort of tempted to learn Wanton Song on the guitar, it'd be a nice intermediate difficulty tune to learn (a good break from the more difficult song I've been slaving over a bit).
