Then avoid what I just heard - Virtual XI. Oh my Ged, it doesn´t even sound like the same band. The arrangements, lyrics and melodies are a joke!

Put Dance of Death in your stereo and start the Maiden journey! It´s their rawest album since Bruce and Adrian´s return.

Guys help me I'm still listening to DT.

I can't commit 2 hours to listen to The Astonishing right now, though. Someday I'll get to it.

But I've probably played SFAM and BCSL like 5 times over the last week.

I don't see how any of this is a problem

You should be listening to a newly discovered band that you like a lot anyways. It shouldn't just be consume and move on. Enjoy their stuff and get to know it.

Everything since 2000 is really good, BNW and AMOLAD especially. Book of Souls was yet another great one.

Is John Mayer frowned on in the US? He is pretty obscure over here and those that know him respect him a lot...

john Mayer's not "cool" to like here.

But he has a big fanbase all the same.

I love him......the guy is INSANELY good Live.

great guitarist.

but like Bay......a bit safe and dull on record

I personally find the current crop of male singer songwriters are all so BORING on record. Sam Smith sounds more like a male clone of Adele or Emili Sande, James Bay has potential, Ed Sheeran couldn't interest me even if he released a pop metal album with Cristina on lead vox.

But often they rule live! Why is this? I don't get it...

John Mayer...I will take what you said on board and will check him out!

I do love a lot of Jason Mraz's studio stuff...

It isn't one of my favourites, but I still really enjoyed it, which is something most fans who liked it did not expect! It is, after all, a bunch of leftovers released to conclude a contractual obligation.

i just miss Sambora so much. Jon Is great live. but Sambora made every show feel special. He breathed something vital into that band. plus no more Jon Richie harmonies.

I think once emotions settle he might come back.

I have the same feeling with Bruce without Clarence. I know that cannot be helped, it just is such a big loss it truly saddens me.

If Sambora never returns, it could be the biggest mistake of the band ever.

But I love Bon Jovi's solo work, so as long as he doesn't try to replicate the Sambora sound the next record might still work for me! I loved What About Now.

As for Sambora, I love his solo work. Hope he continues!

O wow Mick you even know more about the band than me now.

I felled a troll...and made him convert to my species.

Hehehehehehe...

I won't bother trying to make you a Tarja fan.

But I would love to hear your reaction to one of her solo singles.

So bad and ugly and shrill I wanted to stab out my ear drums.

So it is, folks...years and years of TRF and I finally managed to upset someone.

Tick?

Yes

Disappointed. I know some of the negativity came off strong, but who of us didn't try to get to grips with it?

I don't mind being disagreed with. But being asked in one way or another to shut up and let the positive shine is disappointing.

I won't let it get me down. I really love most of DT's work, even if I have hardly played anything lately
