troutman
Got up 5.30 this saturday morning, ate a quick breakfast, slammed down a cup of espresso and headed out the door with my tripod and camera. Walked down to the beach and set my gear up and waited for the sun to rise. Normally it would be pretty simple but the weather tricked me today. The colors were muted and lacking I though, so I snapped some photos and packed up my gear again. Started walking with my back to the sun along the coastline, and curiosity had me looking back over my shoulder. The colors were coming back rapidly, so I hurry to set up my tripod and camera again. The reason the sun wasn't giving the color saturation I was looking for, was that the sun was obscured by haze in the horizon. I had to get up to a certain point to be clear of it. So instead of getting the picture at nautical twilight as I would suppose you would do, I got it at sunrise. But I got what I wanted even though it wasn't how I planned it. Dude, That is amazing!! Great job. :haz:

Union 5-3992
I've been holding onto a few photos I put up online. I forgot this topic existed so how about a dump? I went out a year ago on my dad's four wheeler and took a few shots of the local trailhttp://i.imgur.com/YxNEorJ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/4qdPAgx.jpg http://i.imgur.com/EmmNhKQ.jpg

The Analog Grownup
Surrey, BC January 2016 Is that an alien, Scully?http://i.imgur.com/0hyJkIa.jpg This would make for an awesome movie scene. Several smaller UFO's descending through the fog in your typical smaller city. I'd watch that movie just for that scene. Actually feels like I'm watching a still frame :D
The Analog Grownup
Tested a roll of Kodak Portra 400 for reciprocity failure some time ago, and got the scans back from the lab. A 30 second exposure on my digital camera turned out to be 2 minutes on film. Could have pushed it to 4 minutes without problems I think.

Beautiful, really. :) Thanks! Pure luck, I assure you! To tell you the truth, it was my second dive with the camera (got it for myself for Christmas in 2004) In 2005 my wife and I went to the Orange Bowl for the Penn State/Florida State game, and then hit the Upper Keys for a few days.... I wanted a legitimate dive camera, and bought it used, and this was my "test" trip. A FEW pics came out, but this was my favorite of them all!

custom55
So... Was planning on going snowboarding today but with 70+ degree weather... I went to the NJ shore. I got the chairlift feel of my local resort but not the snow. :D-13: I took this picture while this song was in my head. http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w276/custom55/IMG_2156_zpshkvcz2ig.jpg http://youtu.be/aPC-cvGbHJU Edited March 9, 2016 by custom55

That One Guy
Took a trip to my local library a week ago to reinstate my library card, show the place to a friend from out of state, and check out Ghost Rider. Thought you all might like photos of it. http://i.imgur.com/qozCBxy.jpg http://i.imgur.com/eP5UQhp.jpg The Salt Lake City Public Library was constructed at a cost of $84,000,000 and opened in early 2003. As a civil engineer who enjoys architecture, I appreciate that no expense was spared in creating this expression of knowledge and education. It is one of the defining structures of the region. It contains six floors including the roof and basement levels, with a unique curved outdoor staircase leading to the roof, and houses some 500,000 books. Before last week, I had not been here in approximately nine years. The friend in particular, who had no knowledge of the building, was in awe. Thanks for reading. :) Edited March 28, 2016 by That One Guy
