Rushman14
Anybody know this one? Armageddon. I think they only had one release. I bought it in the mid 70's and still have it in my collection. I don't remember listing to it alot but I thought it was pretty good if I recall...... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/01/Armageddon_%28Armageddon_album%29.jpg holy shit! did you ever like captain beyond? one of the dudes on this record played with captain beyond, another great underrated 70s hard rock bandAll I know is they were sort of a compilation band. Good players from different bands. I guess I was probably 17 when I got it. I used to buy a lot of albums because they looked cool. It was a different time obviously.... :) Holy crap I can't believe you guys mentioned Armageddon. One of my all time favorite albums. Unfortunately the lead singer Keith Relf was electrocuted and died shortly after its release. this album also turned me onto Captain Beyond. Good stuff!

HemispheresserehpsimeH
Disperse. A Polish progressive metal/djent/fusion band that just released their sophomore album, Living Mirrors, last year. Their first album, Journey Through The Hidden Gardens, is also really good. Really great sound, and their guitarist is top-notch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWwYImbglTs
Union 5-3992
There's so many old obscure bands I love, I don't even know where to begin. I'll just go with a few more modern ones I'm big on right now: Elder and Royal Thunder I got to see Royal Thunder in August last year. Really good show
PolarizeMe
The Melvins. OK? I saw them last year... louder than hell.I've never seen The Melvins live, but I'd think that Sunn O))) or My Bloody Valentine live are even louder than The Melvins. I saw My Bloody Valentine last year and by law they have to provide earplugs to concertgoers as they enter the venue because they're just so F***ING LOUD. I believe on average, their loudness reaches as high as 130 dB without earplugs.

Entre_Perpetuo
My dad recently found Roadmaster's Sweet Music and gave it to me. Man, that's a band that should've made it. Better than REO Speedwagon and Journey at their commercial peaks IMO, and in the same style of rock.

My second favourite band. http://youtu.be/A6j7mUxGz20 http://youtu.be/R8n8Uy5KmvU Haken are also up there http://youtu.be/kr_gROZmTtA Saw them both live at Ramblin' Man Fair and they were great. Too bad they let go of their drummer over something that seems petty. I found a real cool version of Otta on Youtube right before they let him go

I always think the drummer looks like he was squeezed into the shirt and tie . Why did they let their drummer go? I only realised when I saw them at RMF that they didn't have the same drummer. It was still a great show, even with the rain (my dad kept joking it was perfect weather for the music ).
