clem Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Just an FYI for those going...I was contemplating taking the drive to Duluth (4 hours) to see the show on the big screen (I did this for Time Machine and it was excellent on the big screen). Then, I read this on the Radio.com website regarding their exclusive dvd preview starting on Thursday: You can also see Clockwork Angels Tour on the big screen; more than 350 select movie theaters around the country will be showing it as a one-night-only event on November 18 (though “Grand Designs,” “The Body Electric,” “Territories” and “Middletown Dreams” are exclusive to Radio.com and won’t be included in the theatrical release).I would have been exceptionally pissed if I got there and these four songs were edited out. Just an FYI, sorry if this has been discussed somewhere else. More info up on the RIAB website regarding this Thursday's exclusive dvd song releases on that website.Just an FYI for those going...I was contemplating taking the drive to Duluth (4 hours) to see the show on the big screen (I did this for Time Machine and it was excellent on the big screen). Am now having doubts. Although 2 hours and 45 minutes (the length with all the songs) is an AWFULLY LONG time to sit in your theater seat. Somehow this just seems wrong, though. You would think the official site would share something like this. Major disappointed now.... Clem
Alchemical Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I don't see why they felt the need to shorten it. What's 20 extra minutes?
Todem Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I will be attending the show in Boca Raton at the Cinemark Theater off Airport Blvd. My son as well as my close friend (bass player in my band) will be going with me. Should be a lot of fun.
LedRush Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I don't see why they felt the need to shorten it. What's 20 extra minutes? The 20 minutes are extras, I assume, as they aren't being presented in the same order as with the concerts. They basically took the modified night A setlist (modified with one extra CA song) and put in the swap out song for the other night as extras at the end. To have the movie seem like a concert, they are just showing the concert. If they put in the other 4 songs, it would be like pausing Avengers during the credits and showing deleted scenes in random order.
RollTheBiff Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Any Ohioans/Clevelanders going? I'm gonna hit up Cinemark in Valley View.
losingit2k Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I already have my four tickets for the whole family for the Sunrise, Fl showing. Can't wait! 1

jjgittes Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Might get twice the Rush in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles the next few days. The tribute band Caress of Steel plays near me Friday the 15th, then the film plays just a few miles away on Monday. Talk about a chronicle of Rush - the tribute band focuses on everything before 1981, then right into "Signals" and beyond. Nice! 2
rocket ignites Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Majorly bummed that the songs The Body Electric and Territories (noooooooo!) are cut from the screening. Still have plans to go to the show with 1-3 other people in Duluth, MN...looking forward to it!
cleverlycareless Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I'll be at the showing at Jordan Creek in Des Moines, Iowa! Looking forward to it!
librarian Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Is singing along acceptable? And dancing?? It is a concert, so it should be.What about standing?

My mom and I were blown away, they were great!
jamie Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 My dad, my brother, and I are going to the showing in Riverside, California! :) 2

I was on the fence on this decision, Now I have slipped & racked my balls, OUCH ! Are they seriously cutting those songs?
