Forget about the album cover or the music contained within. What is the coolest sounding studio Rush album title on its own?

Hold Your Fire - Don't shoot!

Hold Your Fire - Here hold this; it is on fire so it might be tricky to handle

Hold Your Fire - Keep your passion

Hold Your Fire, imo. Ironic since it is my least favorite Rush album.

I like Permanent Waves as a wry comment on the current musical fads and trends of the time and their own place within it.

Also, Grace Under Pressure is cool because that's what it's about...keeping your cool. As is Caress of Steel since I don't think anyone really knows what it's supposed to mean.

Hard choice, so many great album titles.

I love the play on words titles like Permanent Waves, Hold your Fire..

I especially like the title Power Windows... I know the photo content is not supposed to come into play but this word play/photo is so cool:

Power Windows : binoculars

Power Windows : the boy, the remote, the window

Fingers on strings. yes.gif

See them bow there heads to die, thought I read somewhere meant head on the chopping block... La guillotine claims her bloody prize. Which as it turned out to be, Rush really stuck there necks out on this one, close to self inflicted career suicide. tongue.gif btw.. love this album it gets my vote as coolest title Farewell second which the cover to me as a Pink Floyd Animals Industrial vibe to it.

In my mind I always thought of the steel as a sword but yours seems like a pretty good analogy and maybe Neil came up with the title with the intentional double meaning.

Went with PeW. Amazed at the number of votes for Caress of Steel. It sounds like an Anvil/Saxon/Manowar album title.

So? That makes it METAL!! 1287.gif 1022.gif laugh.gif

Arse-metal.

Actually to be serious I never made that connection with COs. And it came out long before those bands emerged...
