Mara
I freaking love the way Geddy sings this line. For some reason it just grabs me. Anyone else?
losingit2k
Yeah. I can picture geddy with a top hat and a poitning stick pointing at some carnival game during that part. "Step right up!"
Jeffrey
Then the drums, guitar and bass kick in...what a track. And the way Geddy adds "Oh" on several of the lines works so so well!
Presto-digitation
QUOTE (Mara @ Jun 22 2012, 09:21 AM) I freaking love the way Geddy sings this line. For some reason it just grabs me. Anyone else? The last time he does it, where the music basically drops away, is probably the single worst vocal moment on the album to me. (no offense). It's a bit cringe worthy. It's the only place on the record where I feel that too. Love the line and I like the way he's singing it elsewhere in the song, but when it's pretty much just him in that section....eeek. I thought his voice was pretty good in Couterparts! But I do agree, his voice is so raw and amazing in this album. Love it.
trenken
Neil stole his own lyrics from The Big Wheel. You know you've been around a very long time when you start ripping yourself off. lol

I particularly love Alex's guitar shadowing Ged's vocals when "shout to warn the crowd" starts. I can't put my finger on which song it sounds like to me though Also, what's up with that little scream at 3:29? HowItIs
This one didn't grab me right away but I'm all over it now. Love the guitar effect (mentioned in another thread) and Ged's vocal is a high point through the whole song.
