If I had even the slightest curiosity to join SOCN before this... now I definitely won't.

(For those who diverted this into a football discussion, you guys are awesome.)

I have trained sales forces for years and ironically it's Trent Dilfer who I refer to the most as a model. His best attribute was that he didn't "lose the game" and knew who he was and his abilities.

Sort of like I imagine Owen Hardy realizes as well.

I live in Tampa and don;t agree with your analogy. He lost plenty of games down here and I never hear any of his former teammates speak well of him.

there's an old saying... if you're not a liberal by the age of 20, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative by the age of 40, you have no brain.

This never made any sense at all and whoever brought it up is a moron.

Me thinks this is a thread created merely to push some buttons and get some fireworks started.

Any Rush fan who understands Neil and his lyrics knows that he has moved far to the left and he would never write lyrics harshly criticizing the left. This is very clear to most Rush fans I would think...and he is far far to the left of Ayn Rand

But he's still a libertarian and there is a strong element of authoritarianism in the modern left that would be anathema to anyone with libertarian leanings.

I was refering to his Super Bowl victory with the Raven's obviously.

Wasn't Rush accused in the early 80s of being a right-wing band?

Mullets and all...

Do you really think a Canadian is going to give 2 sh!ts about some American underground movement?

You do realize that Rush is a progressive band in the true meaning of the word? And that they are Canadian, which to Republicans are categorized as Socialists.

I don't know whether to laugh or be concerned.

Just FYI, the Occupy Movement was conceived in Canada and initiated by Canadians.

The staff of the Vancouver based magazine Adbusters came up with the original concept for "Occupy", and spread the idea with social media.

Further, Occupy protests have been staged in at least 82 countries. It is hardly either "American" or "underground".
