Jake2112
Vapor Trails, easy. TFE and S&A are good but TFE is a little bland and S&A is a little slow. VT is emotional, heavy and the closest thing to being a dud on the album is "The Stars Look Down"

Unattractive Truth
QUOTE (wilb1972 @ Jan 5 2012, 05:53 AM) Vapor Trails all the way. Despite the infamous production. Correct. Great songs on VT. Ceiling Unlimited, Peaceable Kingdom, Earthshine... That's some good stuff right there.
USB Connector
I like all 3, but VT because of the poor mastering.

circumstantial tree
Yeah, Vapor Trails is my pick because I actually like it. Test for Echo is my least favorite and SnA is also somewhere at the bottom of my list.
ghostworks
Which is your favorite? Test For Echo [ 6 ] [26.09%] Vapor Trails [ 10 ] [43.48%] Snakes and Arrows [ 7 ] [30.43%] Total Votes: 23 ^ this goes a long way toward restoring a little faith in Rush fans right here it's easily Vapor Trails by a factor of
EmotionDetector
S&A wins for me. Like I mentioned before, it's their best album since Counterparts IMO. The first 7 tracks are downright fantastic. The album starts to lose some steam near the end, but I really love MalNar and Good News First. TFE gets the nod for second. Never understood the hate for this one in TRF. Songs like Time & Motion, Test For Echo, Driven, Resist, Limbo, and yes, even Virtuality are down right fantastic IMO. VT comes up a distant third. Overall, some really great songs. But the terrible production REALLY hurts it for me, and some songs like PK, Freeze, and OOTC are more 'okay' than 'great'.

goose
Great to see VT leading at this point. Much maligned production aside, the songs are passionate, the lyrics honest and personal, and the tour rocked.

Jaminbenb
Test For Echo and Vapor Trails are two of their WORST albums! (even worse than Power Windows and Hold Your Fire!) Snakes and Arrows is among my favorites! (and I've been a Rush fan since ATWAS was released!) Both T4E and VT to me are the result of the band being away from one another for too long! T4E when they took a break, and Neil was re-inventing his drumming, and VT after Neils personal tragedies.... S&A is them hitting stride from a few tours and spending time together again....I'm going to venture a guess and say that Clockwork Angels is going to be pretty wild also!! just my opinion! ILSnwdog
Sorry bunch? Are you kidding? T4E, Driven, Time and Motion, Half The World, Resist 1LV, Earthshine, Peaceable Kingdom, Secret Touch, Nocturne, Freeze Far Cry, A&S, Spindrift, TMMB, Mal Nar, We Hold On There is some absolutely fantastic music on those albums. And for the record, Snake and Arrows is my favorite.

trenken
Ugh this one is painful, I hate all of these albums, but Im going with Vapor Trails (even though it sounds like some garage band in some piece of shit studio), because the songs are at least a little more creative than those on T4E and S&A. Just wish it didnt sound like such a turd.
trenken
QUOTE (Finding IT @ Jan 5 2012, 01:14 PM) S&A is among their 5 best, VT is among their 5 worst. T4E is in the bottom half. It's amazing how different one Rush fan is to another. You think it's one of the top 5 best albums from one of the best bands of all time, and I think S&A is one of the worst albums Ive heard in the last 10 years of any band. Im not exaggerating. It's just total garbage to my ears.
Nate2112
QUOTE (metaldad @ Jan 5 2012, 09:54 AM) T4E T4E kicks S/A right in its little country arse. Yet, I love S/A. So i went with T4E as my favorite.
