Del_Duio Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 http://i.imgur.com/MXQAR54.jpg I was kind of interested in watching the new version but after watching the trailer I found myself more interested in watching the 1962 original. CGI v stop-go animation? No contest! Excellent stuff! Treeduck, you ever see Dragonslayer? I think it came out in 1980. Anyhow, they have a fantastic stop motion dragon in it you might appreciate. It's so good it's probably still the best-looking dragon to come out of the movies (though the ones in Reign of Fire are pretty damn close).
Del_Duio Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Normally I'm exited to post new movies I watch but lately I've been more exited to re-watch a few memories. Tonight I start with one of the most deserving winners of Best Picture Oscar I've ever seen. I don't remember thinking that way the first time I saw it but after revisiting this masterpiece tonight I am truly blown away. http://www.imgjoe.com/x/milliondlzl.jpg The Unforgiven is another one that deserved it, and has both Clint and Freeman. But you probably already knew that!

I have seen Reign of Fire just a few months ago, it was pretty good.

JohnnyBlaze Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Oz, the Great and Powerful. Respectable attempt. Excellent visuals and some good laughs but lacks the 'wonder' bit.

Yeah everything about it annoyed me, the upside down filming, the bad science twin planets concept, the emo-sounding lead actor, Kirsten Dunst, and the music too, which seemed to be someone's idea of romantic music for teenagers(?) I suppose...
invisible airwave Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 16 Blocks is underrated. Mos Def is one of the best rapper turned actors. Skyfall Probably the most quotable of the modern Bond movies I've seen.
