I was kind of interested in watching the new version but after watching the trailer I found myself more interested in watching the 1962 original. CGI v stop-go animation? No contest! Excellent stuff!

Treeduck, you ever see Dragonslayer? I think it came out in 1980. Anyhow, they have a fantastic stop motion dragon in it you might appreciate. It's so good it's probably still the best-looking dragon to come out of the movies (though the ones in Reign of Fire are pretty damn close).

Normally I'm exited to post new movies I watch but lately I've been more exited to re-watch a few memories.

Tonight I start with one of the most deserving winners of Best Picture Oscar I've ever seen. I don't remember thinking that way the first time I saw it but after revisiting this masterpiece tonight I am truly blown away.

The Unforgiven is another one that deserved it, and has both Clint and Freeman. But you probably already knew that!

I've not seen that one I'll to look for it. I have seen Reign of Fire just a few months ago, it was pretty good.

Very clever and I enjoyed all the game references thrown in. The wife, kid, and I all liked it.

I started watching this one and but after only 20 minutes I could stand no more. Terrible.

 Thats the exact response i had with this film. Rarely stop watching films, but with this.....had to.

Its an interesting concept, but its done in a bad way....just held no interest.

Yeah everything about it annoyed me, the upside down filming, the bad science twin planets concept, the emo-sounding lead actor, Kirsten Dunst, and the music too, which seemed to be someone's idea of romantic music for teenagers(?) I suppose...

16 Blocks is underrated. Mos Def is one of the best rapper turned actors.

Skyfall

Probably the most quotable of the modern Bond movies I've seen.

Hey that's a coincidence you watching 16 Blocks right after me... :AlienSmiley:

I got the 10th anniversary on Blu Ray and it was better than I remembered and I loved it when it was new. Highly recommended.

Moonrise Kingdom.... not sure what to make of this one. I didn't love it, didn't hate it, just kept saying to my wife "this is strange"
