Pretty good stuff.

This one is a little like the 1986 flick "Tough Guys" but here we have Christopher Walken, Al Pacino and Alan Arkin instead of Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas and Eli Wallach. The plot is different but the set-up and characters are very similar. This new one is better though, better story, a little more depth, it's funnier and probably better performances from this veteran trio. Tough Guys was a pretty fun film though, I'll have to watch that one again at some point for a comparison.

The music is pretty good too, some cool soul songs, and the guitar-driven score is by Lyle Workman who I'm a fan of. The only low point is the Golden Globe nominated Bon Jovi tune. I suppose I shouldn't complain though that nomination is probably the reason I got to see such a good quality copy of this so soon.

Hotel Transylvania. It was okay, but I fell asleep and missed the last 30 minutes and didn't really care. My kid liked it though. ParaNorman is better.

Man I thought it sucked...I tried to like it and they're elements which entertain..fell flat. Paranorman was my least favorite of the Halloween tripe...frankenweenie was the best of the fare IMO.

Yeah, it's on my laptop since Lionsgate thought they could get some nods for Walken and Pacino.

Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers

I'm the proud owner of all the Wallace and Gromit movies...fantastic work...inspired lovable comedy. Have u seen all thier stuff?

The first three, via the VHS collection. Haven't seen the Wererabbit.

I'm a big fan, and love re-watching the series now that my son is old enough. :)

This is terrible! Give me The Omega Man any day of the week. Will Smith is awful, as is the script. Between the two of them the writer and Smith manage to turn the character of Robert Neville into an annoying, idiotic big baby obsessed with Shrek! Smith overacts like a damn fool! Pulling faces, shouting, raving, arguing with dummies and unfortunately the dummies steal every scene from him! Charlton Heston must have puked when he saw this and Richard Matheson too!

Love or hate the movie, a certain scene in that movie is really sad.

Here's what I said on RT:

"3/5 stars"

A disturbing film, and one that touches on a sensitive subject, especially for Japan given their suicide demographics... I was personally irked by the movie at times. The suspense in this film was executed well, and the juxtaposed concept of a hip pop band encouraging suicide was interesting. There were some loose ends that failed to be tied, and while I was interested with the film throughout, I was dissatisfied with the ending. There might have been something I missed, but I'm pretty certain that all in all this movie wasn't good at - or interested in - providing a solid explanation.

Much like a real-life suicide. I'm wondering if the impression you took away was intentional by the filmmaker....

I saw this flick twice. The first time I thought it was entertaining. The second time I couldn't help but critique the hell out of it. The reggae wasn't the problem. One problem I had was how powerful those mutants/zombies/whatever were...turning over SUVs and scaling buildings barehanded in a few seconds?! WTF?! How?! Another MAJOR problem I had was Will Smith as a geneticist. I've never liked him as an actor but he's more believable as a cop, a cocky pilot, a drunk superhero, or as a (fresh) prince. I've said it before in another thread: Denzel Washington (if the moviemakers really felt they needed a black guy in the lead role that is) would've been way more believable as the lonely, intelligent scientist who can survive and kick ass.

Yeah I agree on your points about the zombies (who were kind of redundant) and Smith as any kind of scientist, totally miscast. These points and what I said earlier about his performance are why I can't take him seriously beyond jokey Fresh Prince kind of roles. I agree on Denzel too he'd have been more believable as a scientist and just better as that kind of character. I think Will has lots of fans so he gets these big roles, money talks.

Crooked cops, obsessed cops, renegade cops, corrupt cops, psycho cops, hot dog cops, donut kings! All feature in this decent cop thriller. Stephen Dorff is underrated, probably because he's signed up for so many shit films over the years. This one isn't bad though.

Entertaining alternate slasher type move. :)
