Better than I had anticipated. Only bought it because it was cheap but I was entertained all the way through, although I kind of have to be in the mood for Mel Gibson to watch any of his films.

Wait, that didn't sound right.

How you like that movie? I watched it but I find it lacks "rhythm".

I found it hard work but it was watchable. The writer is James Ellroy and L.A. cops are one of his specialties but in this case it lacked flow and like you say rhythm. You can clearly hear Ellroy's unique voice in the lines Woody delivers each time he spouts a retort to his superiors in various meetings, played by Sigourney Weaver et al, but they sounded out of place coming from this character in this situation. Woody plays the part well but the film doesn't completely work the way it's supposed to and the plot seems overcomplicated. The story would probably work better as an Ellroy novel.

Apparently there's two versions of this film, one with and one without Charles Grodin's narration. The version I watched was with the narration which was very good. In fact I doubt the film wouldn't be as good without it.

Fantastic performance. I haven't watched this in years.

I also watched the Mork & Mindy episode Mork vs. The Necrotons...the one with Raquel Welch

Last night on German TV

Good Will Hunting

Insomnia

The Big White

The good thing was, they were shown without commercials.

I watched it but it wasn't a satisfying ending, at the end his career appears to be over after another meeting with Ice Cube who he tries to make a deal with but is refused. The film just ends at this point with Woody driving along the highway to some annoying ending credit music.

World War Z. I had high hopes for this due to the previews I'd seen but it was a little bit boring. Too much CGI and not enough story.
