They put those warnings on the box to cover their asses, that's all. They're afraid - and rightly so - that some dumbass will shove a Q-Tip into his brain and then sue the company for not telling him he shouldn't shove a Q-Tip into his brain.

It's a tool, just like any other. Used properly and with care it does a job.

That's why I put a warning at the beginning of my post. I didn't want someone coming back and saying that I am the reason that they are deaf now. laugh.gif

Smart, very smart wink.gif lol

Everyday. Hate water in my ears after showering

I use to get awful ear aches as kid if I got water in my ears while showering. I wear earplugs in the shower now. Just get the kind of ones people wear when they swim. I haven't had any ear problems in years now.

I once had a co-worker who'd use a pencil to dig out the wax. It was just about the grossest thing ever.

Hope he sharpened it to a real fine point first....... ohmy.gif

I've heard you shouldn't put your elbow in your ears...

Oh, thanks a lot BABYCAT! You could have given a little bit of a better disclaimer than that. I just tried it and only realized after I did it that I only have one arm now. tongue.gif

Every other day I clean my ears with Q-tips because of the crazy amount of earwax I produce. I avoid going too far in because I always fear damaging my ear drum and losing my hearing (or most of it)

Yup, get em cleaned out right after the shower, part of the morning routine.

Only in TRF...

I Q-Tip every day. Habit I suppose.

Sometimes though, if you jab them on in there, it hurts. But like the kind of pain that makes you purr.

Just me?

No purring. Just growling. And only if it's a rodent of unusual size going in my ear.

One by one you will divulge all of your personal hygiene habits. We'll start with shaving legs, armpits and all the rest, move into Q-Tips... next I think will be the thread about which toilet paper is everyone's favorite.
