Really? REALLY? Soundgarden are pretty much ONE OF THE Best 90's bands out there.

This is what Earthshine will post in response to that:

We should rename that smiley after him.

I saw them a few times in the '90's and they were hit or miss. I saw them open for Neil Young...it was Blind Melon/Soundgarden/Neil Young, and they were great that night. When they headlined clubs in Chicago...a little less great.

The night they opened for Neil I remember thinking it was a bad idea for him to have an act that good open. He set me straight with his set pretty quick. Neil was huge.

Never got STP. I bought Core but only Dead and Bloated grabbed my attention.

I have an STP concert I DVR'ed off of Palladia, and they still have it.. Too bad Weiland got on heroin, because they never should have broken up.

i was never a huge fan of soundgarden but the first couple of discs were strong.

apparently Ged thinks highly of their drummer...... cool10.gif

Yeah, since he got him to play on his solo album, and that wasn't a bad idea.

That whole era was not for me, didn't like anything outside of Alice In Chains. I was more the Pantera, Sevendust ,Machine Head type bands

I'm with you on AIC, and Lajon from Sevendust had the best voice out of all those bands from that era.

Where do 90s grunge bands stand in the American DJ lexicon nowadays, have they reached the point where they're referred to as classic rock yet?
