Best version of "Closer to the Heart"

I have one of these with Spirit of Radio once, and by a wide margin the studio version won..

 

I wonder with the extended jam versions if that extra time can tip the balance in favor of one of the live version..

 

 

 

 

 

The polka version just kicks ass, I lauged SOOO hard the first time I heard it.

I am actually going with the RIR version.... hearing that crowd enjoy and sing along with the song in the way they did, makes it f***ing EPIC... just amazing.

 

The studio version is in a close second, with the extended version from Different Stages in 3rd.

Intresting results so far... Like I mentioned this type of thread has been done with other songs before, but in those the studio versions are always miles ahead of other versions... why do you think CTTH is different?

I voted studio version just because I love AFTK so much. Even though I'm kinda sick of the song, I've rediscovered vinyl and just droppin' the needle on that song and then it goes into "Cinderella Man"......just lovin' it right now.

I voted DS, but ASOH a close second. I like the studio version when I'm listening to AFTK, but when I do a playlist compilation I always pick a live version. I prefer a stop ending to the fadeout on the studio version.
