Seeing the R30 tour kickoff in my hometown. When Alex ripped into the opening riff of 'Finding My Way' my hair literally stood up.

  1. I've read the short story a couple of times since seeing the movie, and I hear Morgan Freeman's voice in my head while reading.
  2. I decided to skip the T-shirt this time and bought the cups instead! Pretty cool!
  3. In no particular order: Deep Purple Chicago Kiss Cheap Trick ELO Warren Zevon Iron Maiden Judas Priest Hall & Oates Yes
  4. QUOTE (drbirdsong @ Aug 27 2012, 10:22 PM) QUOTE (theprestobunnies @ Aug 27 2012, 08:16 PM) Was considering this myself.....this might be a stupid question but I honestly don't know....how do you go about providing return postage/packaging for say a CD? Any help greatly appreciated, thanks! Prepare your padded envelope or whatever you are going to have it mailed in. Address it and get it completely ready to go except for that last closure that will seal it up. Take it to the post office and have them weigh it and put the postage on it. That's what I did in 2010 and I got it a couple of days after the show. I sent it to the shed in Tampa (I know it was in Florida) I believe.
  5. They're playing Nashville in December, and I am not at all psyched about it. I agree they should've bowed out after finishing that tour where John Entwistle died before opening night. As for the post Keith Moon material, Eminence Front is in my top ten Who songs of all time, and I also like You Better You Bet and Another Tricky Day, so while the albums may have not been very good they had some shining moments.

  7. The opening to John Carpenter's 'Halloween' comes to mind with the point of view from Michael Myers as he stalks and kills Judith. I also loved the opening to 'Halloween II' where Dr. Loomis is at the spot where Michael landed. The neighbor comes out and says he's been trick or treated to death tonight, and Dr. Loomis simply replies, "You don't know what death is!" then the theme starts! The funniest opening to a movie is Mel Brooks' 'History of the World Part I'.
  8. QUOTE (invisible airwave @ Jun 14 2012, 10:48 AM) Powerage is the best of all 5. Rock and Roll Damnation! Powerage for that song alone!!!
  9. Definitely the best album since 'Counterparts', which at the time of its release was the best album since 'Signals'.
  10. I definitely hear shades of 'Astronomy Domine' in the chorus. Anyone else?

  12. LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! I had bought seasons 1 & 2 when they were released, but didn't get the rest of them until recently (Thanks to Best Buy gift cards and that they were on sale for $14.99 apiece). Gonna rewatch the series at some point this year. I also watched the original series at five years old during the original run, and it's a bit of nostalgic fun. Nothing more, nothing less.
  13. Where the hell is Eric Carr (Kiss) on that list?!?!?! Not saying he should be top ten, but he didn't even make the honorable mentions list!!!
