Lucas
A different opinion than that of Dead Mountain, this time from a Russian journalist who goes into more depth on the translations of the original documents .. About 3/4 thru, and it is a great read .. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51HecnUIDwL._SL_300_.jpg

EagleMoon
A Torchwood novel called Skypoint. I've read quite a few Doctor Who novels but this is the first one of these that I have read. Really good.
Segue Myles
Ian Irvine- A Shadow On The Glass (book one in The View From The Mirror quartet) Trying a pretty underrated fantasy writer from Australia. After more than a year of epic fantasy, this is lighter, very textured, interesting and the story feels original. I couldn't finish Tad Williams Shadowmarch quartet. I swear I love the man but his series was not good...

LakesideShark
The Kite RunnerI had to read that my senior year of High School for my English class. We were supposed to read it little by little at home and discuss it in class the next day. When I got to the last quarter or so of the book, I ignored the rules and I read the rest of it in one sitting since I found it that good. One of my favorite books.
