Blade Runner, Alien, The Thing (remake), and American Beauty. I seem to be able to get absorbed in all these no matter how many times I've seen them.

They are showing That Thing You Do on HBO this month. I think I've watched it about 4 times this week alone from various points to the end. Whenever I land on it when flipping the channels, I have to watch it to the end.

My favorite scene is when Liv wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif hears the song played on the radio and she starts running down the street screaming - and they all wind up converging at the store. That moment is the most classic of about 100 classic moments in that movie.

Some more movies I can watch over and over:

'The Sand Pebbles', a total must-see classic, please check it out if you haven't seen it.

'To Kill A Mockingbird', Peck's performance is flawless.

'Cape Fear', the original with Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum. Some of the lines that Mitchum's character says in the movie are absolutley shocking when you consider when the movie was made. His character implying that he was going to rape Peck's character's young daughter was just unheard of back then. I'm still amazed that it made it past the censors.

'Master and Commander: The Far Side of The World', a great modern-day epic based on the greatest novels ever written.

'Troy', the recently released director's cut has elevated this movie from good to great. Go buy, rent, or borrow (if you lived near me I'd loan you mine laugh.gif) the new cut, it's so much better!

'The African Queen', I just love that one and we need a special edition DVD version, dammit!
