Hatchetaxe&saw
Cheap Trick fans!! Please invest in 2006's Rockford & last year's The Latest. They've still got it. Oh yes.
fritz44
Couldn't agree more than the sentiments expressed by Hatchetaxe&saw. Although Rockford is better than Latest. In act I do believe in one of them boring lists thingys, I voted Rockford album of the year (2006). Marvellous band.

silver
I need to get the last two cds of theirs. They were supposed to open up for Aerosmith last summer before Tyler fell off the wagon and or stage. The venue was way too large for them and tickets sales were very slow. Now Aerosmith is back on tour and playing the arena with Joan Jett opening up for them. Ticket prices are beyond stupid. Greedy bastards. 213 plus charges for floor and lower level seating. RUSHHEAD666
QUOTE (Xanadoood @ Apr 29 2010, 03:08 PM) QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Apr 29 2010, 03:00 PM) I'm not an enormous fan of this band; all I think I know by them are the radio songs ("I Want You to Want Me" live and "Surrender" <3), but I've heard a lot of good things about their albums here. Which album is the best starting point? The first 3 are great. The debut is a cool pop/punk hybrid. They had the attitude of punk rockers with the pop sensibilities of The Beatles. Great band. Their "Sgt. Pepper's" live album and dvd are priceless. Wish I could have gone to Vegas to see that live!!!! Robin Zander is a genius.

That's weird. We had tickets to see Aerosmith and ZZ TOP for that tour and it was canceled thanks to Tyler's addictive acrobatics. Epic Fail. tupelobarchetta
I saw Cheap Trick at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis and a second time opening for Aerosmith. One of my all-time favorite bands. Before the band played "If You Want My Love" in Memphis, Rick said: "I'm sure all of you know this next song. If you know the words, sing along with us. If you don't know the words, sing along anyway." In a world of Epic Fail, that's an example of Epic Cool.

WIDE-ANGLE WATCHER
A very good, fun band. I saw them at a stadium festival seating gig in 1979. In Aug. of '79 at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego to about 50,000 people. It was The Pat Travers Band, UFO, Cheap Trick and Blue Oyster Cult. It was a great show!!! Hemispheres89
Cheap Trick is such a cool band. I'm not saying I don't like The Beatles, but Cheap Trick puts a spin on the typical song by the Beatles and gives it a harder edge.. an edge that I actually enjoy! HELLO THERE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! HELLO THERE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! ARE YOU READY TO ROCK! ARE YOU READY TO ROCK! Who can ask for anything cooler than that?

Albone2112
I've seen the Trick four times, and they've always delivered. I would add 'Dream Police' and 'One on One' to the essential albums list.
