My answer is no. I may have listened to a particular artist enough to get sick of them, but I could never describe myself as being "bored" with music.

In my opinion, blues and blues-based rock has the most musical value and depth of any genre, and I don't see any reason I would ever need to stop listening to it or change my musical taste.

Break from music? There can't be such a thing in existence. And the fact that i'm in a marching band probably doesn't help it either.

Never have, never will. I started listening to what Mum and Dad had in the house as early as 4 or 5 years old, and haven't stopped since. I discovered Rock and Metal music at around age 13-14 and it took a hold on me in a way I can't even put into words. It's as much a part of me as my right arm. I could no more take a breather from music as I could take one from my arm......

taking a break from music?? what?? should those words even be in the same sentence together??

on the bus, at school, during homework, cleaning the barn, and everything in between music is there.

and if i'm not listening to it, i'm making my own on my git box

i even based my final grade 11 english project on it!

music and i were made for each other and i don't see a divorce comming anytime soon

If you put it in the terms of being "bored" with it, then no, I've never really taken a break from music.

Some days I listen to less music than I do on other days, but it's usually because I don't have time or whatever. It's never because I'm not in the mood for music or anything like that.

I'm also a lot like Red in that I rarely listen to music by itself- it's generally something I have on in the background.

Not right now. But it will be unavoidable when the time comes. I will probably escape to B.C for a good couple weeks...to a cabin in the middle of no where...with no TV...no music. You can't have music all the time...then you wouldn't appreciate it. cool.gif

Have you ever been even slightly bored with music?

Even for a little bit? Maybe you decided to stop listening for awhile?

Or is that just blasphemy?

Discuss!

Well I get my moods where I change my music. I mean I either listen to http://www.rush.com, http://www.enigma.de, http://www.babbumann.com, http://www.djdoboy.com, and http://www.generationtrance.com (Dj Gt Vs Project C). unsure.gif

Quite often actually...

I had a break for several years due to certain family issues which I won't go into just now..

I often find that I want absolute peace and quiet especially when hiking. saying that, I enjoy music in it's proper place...

I've gone a week before without listening to a full album but usually I don't take very long breaks. I definitely want to make music my career. In fact, I've been looking at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. Looks like a damned fine school to me. smile.gif
