rushgoober
Casino isn't fit to wipe Goodfellas' ass. Sorry, Casino I saw once and it was decent, but I don't ever need to see it again. Goodfellas is an all-time classic I've seen many times...

Rush!
Goodfellas. I like when the guy is hung in the freezer when they're playing Layla by Clapton. Edited April 23, 2006 by Rush!

Signals1982
I love Casino. But Goodfellas was the orginal. Casinos was sort of a copy of Goodfellas. Both great films.
pixey
Goodfellas, no doubt about it. However the scene in Casino where the 2 guys take out those other 2 guys and beat them in a cornfield then throw them into a sand grave happened across town when I was growing up. They eventually found the bodies.

Modest Man From Mandrake
I picked Casino. I though Nicky Santoro was a much better characer than, Tommy DeVito. I mean both characters were great, but I think Nicky was just a little better than Tommy. In Goodfellas you don't see much when Tommy gets whacked. In that scene in Casino in the Cornfield when they kill Nicky & Dominick it's really messy and brutal. I think it added to the impact of Nicky getting whacked. Edit: I'm wrong on this, never mind. I don't see any credits for Chianese in GoodFellas. But I'd swear it was him. Oh well. Chianese was in Godfather II, apparently. I haven't seen it in a long time, though. Edited April 25, 2006 by anagramking

hap
They're both very good and I don't find them too similar. If I was forced choose anyway I'd vote for Goodfellas.
Wandering Hermit
Not even close. This scene alone is better than all of Casino combined. http://goodfellas.martin-scorsese.net/downloads/images/funny1.jpg

For the record, Uncle Junior was Johnny Ola in The Godfather Part II. I wonder if there's a family tree somewhere that relates these characters. 2112-Rob-2112
I liked Casino more beacuse it focused more on De Niro and Pesci and not on that loser Ray Liota.

Ill bet you love that scene where he cried with his wife cause she flushed his coke down the toilet - while claiming that the cops would have "never found it".
