  1. Boss Hogg and Roscoe made that show work. They were the best actors on the show, and the source of all the laughs.
  2. I've seen it once or twice. Great show.
  3. QUOTE (Merely Space @ Aug 14 2008, 08:30 AM) QUOTE (MULTIPLIED REACTION @ Aug 13 2008, 11:18 PM) I'm waiting for the remake of Ishtar. Funny. I'm waiting for the remake of Heaven's Gate. IMO, one of the reasons for remakes is the ugly intersection of art and business. Investing in art is difficult, because it can be so unpredictable. That's terrifying for an investor. But remakes give the business people an illusion of predictability. They can a) grasp what the film is going to be like, because they've seen it before, and say to themselves "hey, this concept made money the first time around, so it's safe to bet it will make money this time around." Exactly right. Remakes and sequels are low risk money makers. New and original means a lot more risk. Until this changes, we will be seeing more and more remakes and sequels, along with sequels of remakes, even.
  4. I'm surprised Eyes Wide Shut got a vote. I thought that was the worst one I saw of his, not that I've seen all of them.
  5. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Aug 1 2008, 08:58 PM) http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&FORM...scl=1&encType=1 There it is folks. Angelinos... what is that thing behind the house, some sort of aquaduct? That's the Los Angeles River. It runs through the Valley, alongside the Ventura Freeway, then near downtown, then onward to Long Beach where it ends. Some movies and videos have scenes by the LA River near downtown. http://www.urbanedpartnership.org/target/u...tour/index.html

  9. QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Jul 30 2008, 11:32 PM) QUOTE (moltenlava @ Jul 31 2008, 12:22 AM) Howie Hamburger Dude, huh? Thanks. That would have eventually weighed on my mind and I would have been forced to IMDb it....Which one was the film when they were all under the table doing blow? Had to be Nice Dreams then, right? Yep. Now I remember. Cheech bumps into his old girlfriend at the Diner, and she's with the Humburger Dude. Then they jet off to hotel to service her and they meet up with her big, burly, biker boyfriend who hates Mexicans. lol. You remember that cat's name? Yup that was Nice Dreams. As for the dude's name I think it was Animal. Been a very long time since I've watched Nice Dreams. I'll have to buy it to add to the collection Found the scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VooULmgxhZ4

  11. This makes as much sense as a third Wayne's World.
  12. Junior and the Twins What About What About Bob? 5th Grade Cop
  13. I don't love his stuff and I don't hate it.
  14. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jul 17 2008, 10:27 AM) Now that Mama Mia song is going through my head! I'm gonna have to get it out with a bullet! Actually the mention of that always gets Bohemian Rhapsody going through my head. I certainly don't mind that. So give that a shot if you're still stuck.
  15. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jul 16 2008, 12:00 AM) QUOTE (anagramking @ Jul 15 2008, 11:59 PM) QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jul 15 2008, 11:57 PM) QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Jul 15 2008, 10:44 PM) QUOTE (Del_Duio @ Jul 15 2008, 10:40 AM) Mike Meyers, it's not even close. All the Wayne's Worlds, Shreks, and Austin Powers far outweigh the Cat in the Hats and Love Gurus IMO. I'm biased though, since he was part of my favorite era of SNL (Meyers, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Kevin Nealon, and later Farley & Sandler). I miss Phil He was a riot. I particularly liked his imitation of Sinatra... hilarious... To Billy Idol: "I got chunks of guys like you in my stool!" To Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme: "Shut up, you wastes of space! Just be glad you get to hang with me! It's your choice: you can open for me at the Meadowlands, or you can headline at the Tick Tock Inn." Phil Hartman was an enormous talent. Are you sure the first one wasn't from Joe Piscopo's version? Positive. It was Hartman, with Sting playing Billy Idol. http://snltranscripts.jt.org/90/90ksinatra.phtml
