  2. 1.38/L = 5.24/gal 5.24 CAD = 5.53 USD/gal That sucks!
  3. Happy Birthday!!!! We should get some drinks tonight and have a few!!!!
  4. I haven't seen last night's episode yet, but from all your reactions it's going to be a good one.
  5. World's Creepiest Man seems to be a bit understated Just the voice and the way he talks. It almost makes me wonder if he's playing it up the way he talks.
  6. I never spoiled anything trust me. LOL For the record I misspelled the name It was Crimm Not Grim
  7. QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Nov 19 2010, 06:49 PM) This was filmed in my hometown of North Bay, Ontario. In fact our very own Modest Man From Mandrake and his daughter are in one of the episodes as extras I recall seeing filming locations when I was up there vacationing last year. I bought the DVD a few months ago. Yes we were. Allison didn't make it into the film, but I actually did. I have about 4.5 seconds were I'm cheering for Grim at his execution. It's in the last episode when they are walking him up the stairs I'm on the bottom left wearing glassing cheering with my hands above my head LOL I really liked Death comes to town. It was typical Kids In the hall that we have all come to love.
  8. Robocop is squeezing Quinn too hard. I think Quinn will end up killing him, and in some weird turn of events Quinn and Dex will form an uneasy alliance of convenience. In the books Deb knows that Dex is a serial killer. According to an online source I read comparing the books to the series Deb "Actively encourages Dexter to use his powers" With the way that Deb is claiming to feel unaffected by killing one of the Fuentes brothers, I think this is makes the possibility of Deb "Encouraging" Dexter an easy turn in the storyline.
  9. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Aug 13 2010, 10:14 PM) http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/ very nice collection of documentaries, sorted... Thanks Lerxt you rock man. I appreciate the links
  10. QUOTE (Snowdog @ Jul 22 2010, 06:59 AM) QUOTE (rushgoober @ Jul 21 2010, 08:22 AM) re: last Sunday's episode called "Trouble:" man, I'm tempted to say that this show just gets better and better, but more realistically, it probably just maintains a very high quality. this show is just insanely good. i seem to be perpetually in a state of dying to know what happens next! Last Sunday's ep was a very good one. Now the question is "what exactly is Sookie?" My eldest reads all the Sookie Stackhouse books and if you want to know what Sookie is I can tell you.
  11. Jodi, Myself and the kids saw this one in 3D on an IMAX. I agree that 3D was not need to make this movie be awesome, it was my first chance to experience an IMAX movie so we did it. The movie was great and it wrapped up the series in an awesome way, I think. I will admit that I was choked up at the end. My oldest was crying so much at the end, she could stop and it continued for about 10 minutes after we left the theater. The Toy story franchise is probably my favorite animated series of all time
  12. QUOTE (cygnus_thegodofbalance @ Jul 19 2010, 10:09 PM) QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Jul 19 2010, 09:41 PM) Didn't know it was mandatory to see them live to be a fan Well, if you've been with them for 30 years, you must be a pretty big fan. And not seeing a band live that you've been with for 30 years just seems a little weird to me. I have already explained, but I will say it again. Sometimes life stands in your way and it won't move no matter how bad you want something. There's nothing weird about it, it's called reality.
  13. QUOTE (trenken @ Jul 19 2010, 09:09 PM)Just have to ask this, after being a fan for 30 years, why havent you seen them yet? Thats amazing to me. I'm surprised that something like that amazes you. I know I'm not alone in the way the meaning of your post comes off. The post I have quoted basically says.... "You know if you were truly a "fan", you would've found a way to make it to a show. Seeing how you haven't made it to a Rush show, I would have to say that you're a little full of shit". Now you can back peddle and blow smoke up my ass telling me that that is not really what you meant by the quoted text. That you were just curious because the whole premise of my OP didn't seem to really make that much sense, and you were only looking for a little clarity to help you understand it better. You are a pompous ass and I owe you nothing, but I am going to address your blatantly dickheaded post. First of all geography has a lot to do with it. I live in Northern Ontario about 3 and half hours north Toronto. Toronto being the closest place to see any big band. Back in the day we had no rock station, and rarely did they ever mention big rock acts playing in the city. The town I live in didn't get an FM rock station until 1995/96. So the only time I ever heard of a big rock show was when someone else mentioned it. Of course the mentioning of a big show was usually sometime talking about what they had seen, not what there were going to see. Isolation is a bitch. If you can't understand, oh well. The other parts are financial and personal responsibilities. I didn't always have the money to do many of the things I wanted to do. You know trenken there are people that are just scraping by, living paycheck to paycheck, and sometimes 100 bucks for a concert just isn't doable. If you have never experienced times when money was a rare commodity in your life, then you are a very lucky person. It would also make you very out of touch with reality, but lucky nonetheless. Unfortunately I haven't been that lucky. More times than I care to count, I've had to settle with only being able to afford a band's CD (even sometimes affording a CD wasn't easy). I have 5 kids, and providing them with a quality life, comes before anything else. Sometimes personal desires are pushed aside by the cruel bitch known as reality. Fortunately I am now at a point in my life where I'm able to do all the things that I was never able to do before. So that's what I am doing. Hope this clears it up and the amazement you feel from reading my words have subsided.
  14. QUOTE (ProfGumby @ Jul 19 2010, 08:33 AM) DUH! GEDDY'S VOICE CANNOT DO WHAT IT DID 35 FREAKIN YEARS AGO True, but I gotta give up for Geddy. He still did a wicked job, and his voice isn't as gone as some may think. Geddy Alex & Neil = Pure f***ing awesomeness!
  15. QUOTE (sundog @ Jul 19 2010, 08:01 AM) Awesome!!! Glad you got the opportunity! Caution - seeing them live is addicting. I'm just realizing that I want to go again. Just like a kid that gets off his/her first amusement ride and shouts "AGAIN AGAIN!!"
  16. QUOTE (Merely Space @ Jul 19 2010, 08:23 AM) Good on you, man! Congrats on your first viewing. Hopefully, it won't be your last. It definitely won't! As long as the boys are touring, I'll be going to the shows
  17. I just wanted to add a big thanks to Testy for getting such awesome tickets!!!! Thanks Rick you rock brother!!!
  18. Words can not convey the emotion I felt Saturday night when I finally got to see Rush at the ACC.... It was beyond anything I envisioned that it would be. Sure there were a couple technical glitches, but they were nothing more than a slight hiccup in an otherwise perfect night. My only regret is that I hadn't seen them sooner. I will not post any spoilers. Only thing I will say is that Geddy, Alex, and Neil were totally FU*KING AWESOME!!!! Must remember to book a hotel room in advance next time I go to a Show.
  19. I can't believe I missed this thread. Tool is my number 1 favorite band of all times. I don't think I can only pick one song as my absolute favorite. Part of Me, Forty Six & 2, Swamp song, Prison sex, H, Parabol, Right in Two, Ticks & Leeches, and Opiate are amongst my favorites. Yes I have to say pick just one is an impossibility for me. If I had to pick a music hero I would choose Maynard. I admire him more than anyone musically speaking.
  20. I like maybe 4 songs by the Boss. I have tried and tried to get into the Bruce, but I guess for myself he's just one of those guys who's music I just don't like.
  21. Toy Story was great, but I think Toy Story 2 was amazing. I love Pixar films, and Toy Story 2 was my pick.
