He was my first concert when I was 11. I’m grateful that I got to see him once.

These days I just text the IRS. They're always asking for unredeemed Google Play Store cards to settle unpaid taxes I didn't know about, though.

I was in favor of it when I was 19, but in older age I don’t see the purpose. I particularly hate most states going winner take all on their electoral votes, that’s the main problem.

It's an important protection for geographic and political minorities.  Urban centers are more disconnected than ever  from rural realities, and more bent on a tyrannically universal approach to legislation

That's the reason I usually hear, so that cities don't boss around the most rural of areas.

But society continues to urbanize, and this trend is not going to reverse. In 30 years, with the percentage of citizens being urban even larger, is the E.C. still going to "protect" the rural people?

At some point, if enough people are urban, they're going to call the shots no matter what. Giving farmin' states two senators seems like the biggest benefit the sub-million states have.

I take huge issue with all-or-nothing electoral votes. It tells California R's and North Dakota/Alaska/Iowa etcccc R's that their vote does not influence the election whatsoever.

If the electoral college is so important in its current form, why do we even allow two states to split their electoral votes?

That already happens in states like Illinois, Oregon, and Washington.

Give me proportional distribution of the electoral college. But leave the electoral college to give some power to smaller population states.
