But leave the electoral college to give some power to smaller population states. I still don't quite understand why a rural Wyoming vote needs more weight than a rural California, New York, Washington, Utah, Nebraska, or Kentucky vote. Even if Wyoming-like places keep their "heavy" votes, they'll get more outvoted as time goes on, with electoral college seats created in areas that are growing, not areas that are stagnant. There's still the argument to be made that it protects a pretty small minority. Though the two senators per state thing really tips it in their favor. Hooray for having to convince representatives for 15% of the country to get anything through the senate. To me that's a huge flaw. We do enough for rural types. They're financially subsidized to a huge degree. All or nothing electoral college votes is just voting welfare for Republicans. Have better party platforms and you won't need bullshit to win elections.
That One Guy
Hmm, Utah is going to spend $50,000,000 rebuilding a DOT road that gets 3,000 vehicles of traffic per day, between two towns of 1,000 people. Who do you think is paying for that? $25,000 each from each resident of the two towns? Nope, the general tax pool of the whole state.

That One Guy
"What's the point of EVs? A hybrid vehicle costs the same to run as one" Nah, let me hit you with some basic napkin math arithmetic... ok, worst case, an EV has a per-mile running cost 1/3rd of the best comparable hybrids. They have taken too long to eminent domain farms, get the small towns in order, and clear the way for high-speed rail. People claim they want to be able to do whatever they want on their land, and build whatever they want, such as a second garage, but yet they don't want their neighbors to have the freedom to tear down their home and build a triplex or a few townhomes. Hypocrites are to be derided, outvoted, and then dismissed.

But society continues to urbanize, and this trend is not going to reverse. In 30 years, with the percentage of citizens being urban even larger, is the E.C. still going to "protect" the rural people? It will be the only thing. The trend wasnt a difficult one to forese, as it was already occurring. We're a republic for good reason.

Free with no need for storage seems the smarter option, as does a generous donation to the local library over a $50 monthly contribution to the Amazon/Costco coffers.
