This is for Rush's first four c.ds, and albums, which are "Rush", "Fly By Night", "Caress of Steel", and "2112". People, who may've had to not include a song, or songs on their peak progressive era list from 1977-1981 can be combined from Rush's "A Farewell to Kings", "Hemispheres", "Permanent Waves", and "Moving Pictures". As with the other three lists, it can include bonus, and hidden songs, too. On my list, and a 80, and 1 hr., and 20 min. c.d., I was going to include two songs that were the last two from my peak progressive list. Here is mine.

Bastille Day

In the End

Here Again

the Necromancer

By-Tor and the Snow Dog

2112

Working Man

the Spirit of Radio

Tom Sawyer

Bastille day

Lakeside Park

Making memories

A Passage to Bangkok

Something for nothing

Best I can

Beneath, between and behind

A fountain of Lamneth III - No one at the bridge

Finding my way

2112

Working Man

Bonus - In the End (love the riff but song goes on slightly too long)

Would have loved to include many others from the era because I don't dislike any really but this is prob my top choice (at the moment anyway).

Can't put By-Tor, Necromancer, Lamneth or 2112 on the same CD, it won't fit along with all of the other songs you put on the disc. Edited by _hi_water._

Those four alone... that would be a pretty sweet 70 minutes. A bit tiring for the air-drumming/air-guitar arms though.

I've gone with only the first four albums, and omitted the obvious epics By-tor, Necromancer, Lamneth and 2112 (they would be my Vol 2. if Vol 1 made me loads of dough!)

Ten tracks -

Anthem

Beneath, Between & Behind

Lakeside Park

Something For Nothing

Working Man

Bastille Day

A Passage To Bangkok

Making Memories

Fly By Night

In The End

I'm working chronologically and not ordering atm because I can only procrastinate doing my sociology readings for so long, but here we go. I omitted epic proggy moments from this list for the sake of length:

Finding My Way

What You're Doing

Working Man

Anthem

Beneath, Between, Behind

Fly by Night

Bastille Day

Lakeside Park

A Passage ot Bangkok

Twilight Zone (you need SOMETHING a little weird)

Something for Nothing

Twelve songs for me:

1. Bastille Day

2. Beneath Between and Behind

3. Something for Nothing

4. Fly by Night

5. A Passage to Bangkok

6. In the End

7. Anthem

8. Twilight Zone

9. By-Tor and the Snow Dog

10. Working Man

11. The Necromancer

That's around 61 minutes I think.

It would fit on a CD easily.

A second CD would have 2112 on one side and Fountain on the other.
