Nova Carmina
I can't really separate the solo from how I feel about the song, so it's gonna be Gilmour for this one.

goose
Gilmour is probably my favorite soloist of the mega rock bands. His tone and phrasing is always dead on.
Entre_Perpetuo
Sheer Heart Attack might be Brian May's best guitar album. Incredible that he was sick while the backing tracks were recorded and he did most of his work in the spaces the rest of the band left for him to fill. Killer Queen is indeed one of his most killer solos, and my vote goes to him with no surprise. I'll take Gilmore in Time over Page in SIBLY, but probably only because I'm more attached to DSOTM than LZIII.
ReRushed
I just listened to these three songs. The Pink Floyd one wins.

Well said. And btw, Time isn't even his greatest solo. Comfortably Numb gets that nod for me. An argument that the one on Money is better too can be made. Plus there's Dogs, Pigs, Sorrow, ..........
