70's still not any easier...

 

IMO, mastepiece level: Animals, Rumours, Songs from the Wood, Going for the One, Point of Know Return, Elegant Gypsy, Aja, News of the World, Freefall, Heavy Weather, Peter Gabriel, and a host of other great, great albums. (I like that you include all those great fusion albums in the choices!)

 

and the answer is.... YES! Going for the One.

 

and my obligatory, if this were my poll, I would definitely have this album in the list for this year:

If listed, Terrapin Station would have been my 2nd choice just behind Animals.

A relatively easy choice for me. Lights Out is UFO’s high water mark. Lots of albums I love here, but none as much as that one.

 

Obsession is their best for me.

 

They're very close. But Too Hot to Handle and Love to Love on one album is too much to overcome.

In retrospect I find the album versions quite tame compared to the versions on Strangers.

Strangers in the Night is one of the greatest live albums ever recorded.
