I've never even heard of most of the bands on the list. Lizzy gets my vote. I'm guessing they run away with this one.

My three favourite Irish acts:

1. The Cranberries

2. The Corrs

3. U2

Thin Lizzy are likely to kick U2 off at some point.

Btw, I love U2 as much as the next guy, but I heard a good joke today.

What’s the real difference between God and Bono?

The waterboys circa fisherman's blues

The title track and we will not be lovers featuring steve wickham on fiddle. He also plays on u2's war.

A lot of good groups listed above! Thin Lizzy for sure. And my parents played a lot of the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem, an Irish folk group that was around forever. I used to think they were terribly corny, but they have a certain charm. I like the Dropkick Murphys as well!

I've thought of U2 because they are one of my favorite bands, and groups behind Rush. With, and other, than U2, the bands, groups, and artists I like, who are from anywhere in Ireland, and Irish related are:

Snow Patrol, the Corrs, the Script, Sinead O'Connor

Ironic considering that egotistical sequel to that John Lennon song on Rattle And Hum.

The 90s teen Xennial in me is going with Cranberries. RIP DO’R.

You left the best Irish band off the list! (So I voted for U2, for Unforgettable Fire through Achtung Baby mainly; I do love what I've heard from Clannad though.)

Hey

Happy St. Patrick's Day again my friends!

Quite late, but I'm rocking out to the Johnny The Fox cut "Massacre!" Thin Lizzy reigns supreme in the poll and in my heart! A picture of me next to Phil's statue in Dublin has been my phone background for months, maybe going on a year at this point.
