Listened to Brave New World today. It's a good album, but like someone else pointed out in this thread, way too long, like all other albums since Bruce and Adrian came back. Maiden used to be able to send their message across with eight songs per album, and 45-60 minutes worth of music...

Yep, Maiden's biggest flaw nowadays is their inability to edit their ideas.

My favorite albums are Powerslave and 7th Son of a 7th Son. My favorite singles are Wasted Years and Run to the Hills.

There is actually a Facebook community called Bruce Dickinson for Prime Minister. It was created in 2010 and has 700 likes.

Here it is kids!

Found it!!!

"Seventh Son" is a progressive hard rock heavy metal fukking masterpiece.

Bruce needs to shut the fukk up and quit being a relevant egotistical maniac.

Give us real fans another RETRO CLASSIC TOUR!!

Do "PIECE OF MIND" ALL THEY WAY THROUGH!!!!!

I would SHIT hearing "DIE WITH YOUR BOOTS ON!"

COME ON!!!!

How about doing "Piece Of Mind" and "Powerslave" all the way through??????

It could be called the P2 TOUR!!!! P SQUARED!!!!

LET'S DO IT!!

UP THE IRONS BITCHES! WAKE THE F UP!

I'm going to BED! LOL!

Caught them twice this tour. Stellar. TBOS stuff rocks.

Anyone expecting a greatest hits night should stay at home.

I really dig Book of Souls. Best album since Numbers, IMO.

I love the first disc. Never play the second.

Except for Empire.

Iron Maiden has written several remarkable works since Seventh that are better than Seventh.

Sure they took a dive after Seventh, but in retrospect those next four albums weren't as bad as they're remembered, and the albums after were generally better than Seventh.

Maiden have done some better albums than 7th Son in their latter years but I agree with Lucas the Burr era was the pinnacle.

In fact I preferred them with DiAnno. Heresy I know.

As good a singer as he is, Bruce is a bit of a t**t on the quiet.

I totally agree Black Tiger. Nothing touches the first two Maiden records. Burr > Nicko. The "Dick"inson Era peaked at "Seventh Son" for me.

I love Nicko, but Burr was the MAN.

Maiden need to drop the long intros and kick ass from the word go. Long intros don't make it progressive.

Maiden needs to make the music they want. You'll take it and you'll like it.

Take THIS!

some times I still have that itch to annoy the Rush Bitches on this Forum.

:joker:

Back in the day I remember liking that album but have to say was more blown away with Powerslave and Somewhere in Time. It was great to finally have a concept album from Maiden though. Happy days. Definitely lost interest quickly after that. Btw, did you get to go to any of their 80s shows Earl? I still have a Nicko drumstick stashed somewhere that a fan just kindly gave me! :NP:

Hahaha! Yes my brother! I saw the "Somewhere In Time" Tour in 1986? The Vinnie Vincent Invasion opened!

I have a Nicko drumstick caper too but it was nothing like yours you lucky bum!

So if you remember Nicko's kit was on some hell of high riser back then. I think it was right above a giant inflatable Eddie head.

Nicko threw his drumstick into the air and it hit the inflatable Eddie and fell to the stage floor.

Bruce picked up the stick and thew it into the crowd!

"Seventh Son" is Maiden's last great masterpiece.

EPIC!

I prefer GINGER LYNN!

The greatest of all time. Met her in San Francisco in 1995. She gave me her panties.

They are still under my pillow.

You kill me! Yes! I missed it! 1985 was the same year I was hired by Safeway.

I became a courtesy clerk. But I worked my ass off. I was promoted to a checker. Back then I started making like 40000 a year. I was working 40 hours a week and going to school.

I missed hundreds of concerts back then.

But man, I had nice cars, nice stereos. Partied my ass off!

It was a sacrifice.

Hence this is why I am making up for it now!!

I am very blessed. Despite what Johnny Blaze would say.

I mean I missed ACCEPT back in the heyday.

But I just saw ACCEPT twice in one month this year!

I took my 80 year young dad to Ghost and Maiden. He loved it despite all of the Satanic shit.

I thought Ghost was great. MAIDEN WAS PURE SHITE!

So yes.

Still going to shows now.

Also being happily divorced I don't have to spend money on two tickets. I don't have to take my EX to a five diamond hotel and dinner.

Fuckk it buddy! I LIVE FOR ME!

"FREEWILL!"

FREEFUKKINGBIRD!

I remember buying "Powerslave" on cassette at Record Factory.

I raced home to hear it but my parents told me that Safeway was on the phone.

I was two hours late to my new job.

I had no clue.

I didn't even know that I was hired!

Funny you bring up Powerslave.

ironically I put in 16 years at Safeway. I met my ex wife at Safeway 10 years from the day. Seriously. Crazy.

I was transfered in 1994. Met her. Got married in 1996.

UP THE IRONS!

I WILL NEVER MARRY AGAIN!

I wish all of you young people to find love and marry forever.

My parents RULE!
