  1. Caress Of Steel.. it must be the perfect album! I just listened to it for the first time in months, and when I heard the first song, Bastille Day, I just had to stop with all I was doing on the computer and just sit and listen. Bastille Day - a awesome song there you hear a young Geddy sing, I wouldent mind if they played this song on next tour. I Think I'm Going Bald - I know many people hate this song, but I dont, I love it! It got a nice sound. Lakeside Park - another great song, that sounds great! The Necromancer - This was the song that took me most time to really like on this album, almost a year before I really liked it, and now I love it, Geddys voice is really great on this song! The Fountain Of Lamneth - This, my friends, is a masterpiece! Its just the perfect song, everything sounds great on it! The Drum solo in the beginning of the song is really awesome (give us more drum solos in the songs Neil!) and the guitar, it just got that nice 70s - sound that Alex had, but stop using after Moving Pictures. And Geddys voice is just perfect on this song! To me, this song is better then 2112! I give this album 10 out of 10 points. I cant believe that this album almost killed Rush...

  2. No, I don't know. I do love doing the playful thing with my partner; flirting and teasing while we are not in a position for things to go any further. I have that build up for a good part of the day...then, the love making is a little more intense and, quite frankly, fun (although, sex is like pizza...even when it's not that good, it's still kinda good and I'm glad to have it. :P ). It's nice when that happens, but it just doesn't happen very damn often. I'm usually happy if foreplay is more than the guy grabbing a handful of my breasts and giving them a squeeze. Speaking as someone who has been on his own waaay too long I say that men should be more appreciative of foreplay. I sure as hell miss it.

  3. Yeesh ... it's like one of those episodes of Start Trek TNG where Picard has to learn a bunch of silly rules so that he doesn't offend an alien ambassador.

  4. Just pop in Rush In Rio with him, sit back, relax, and enjoy with him. If he doesn't like it, give a tranqulizer dart to him. Also, pop in the Snakes & Arrows Live DVD. That's pretty great stuff where the S&A songs were better live than the studio versions. Just to convince the guy that they are a magnificant live band. All right, as for albums post-1990, maybe Clockwork Angels. That's what convinced me to listen to Rush on a more regular basis.

  6. If I had to choose only one from that list ^^^^^^ that I would want to hear it would be Lessons of course. One of my all time favorites.... :) The Fountain Of Lamneth would come a close second....

Speaking as someone who has been on his own waaay to long I say that men should be more appreciative of foreplay. I sure as hell miss it. Speaking as a woman who has been on her own for a while now, I say that women shouldn't be so quick to pass on intimacy with their partner. It amazes me how I can talk to some men and they tell me that it has been months (or, in some cases, YEARS) since they had sex with their wife because she's just not interested. I guess I'm a woman who never had that problem. In fact, I am almost ALWAYS more aggressive in the sex department (as far as initiation, experimentation, etc) than my boyfriend/husband. Wether it is sex or other ways of showing, I do feel it's important that couples make sure they each feel appreciated and wanted in a relationship. In whatever way they do it. :)

  14. I first heard Budgie listening to the Boneyard on Sirius. Of course it was Breadfan. I couldn't find anything from them on iTunes, so one of our TRF brethren set me up with a fair amount of their stuff, and it's all f***ing brilliant! :haz:

  17. It's unfortunate that those two songs are probably the two least likely Rush songs to ever be played live hahahaha. I too adore those songs, each a masterpiece in its own way. It's really too bad that they never played them back when it was actually feasible Ged's vocals the problem?.... Ged's vocals would be an issue, but I don't think the band still has much affection for those songs. That's the biggest issue

  18. Caress of Steel is a fantastic album. It really bothers me when people compare this album (more specifically Alex's guitar work) to Led Zeppelin because personally I see this album as one of their most unique, certainly a departure from FBN. I don't see it as derivative of Zeppelin at all

  26. If I was to choose a Beach Boys song it would be God Only Knows. That one gets to me every time. Beautiful...

  27. Good thread For me it would be "in my life" by the Beatles or "wouldn't it be nice?" By the beach boys for well known songs. Obscure? The Sundays "when I'm thinking about you."

  31. freewill, spirit of radio, working man, red barchetta, la villa, yyz, bastille day, anthem, fly by night, beneath between behind, limelight. easy to swallow, catchy tunes. rush is hard to get into for those "hipster" types though. I've met people who have acted like they'd lose their "cred" if they liked something that wasn't robert christgau-approved.

  32. I spoke to soon I suppose. Truth is I went to the ER early this afternoon. They ran some tests and found nothing. They released me a couple hours ago after giving me some drugs. I felt incredibly awful this morning and then around noon I had to go. This is honestly getting very depressing at this point. I wish I could turn the clock back and feel like I did back in January. Stay tuned. This doesn't seem over by a long shot..... :( Thanks friends

  36. That's my choice for my favorite all-time number one song. Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding. It's the first song I ever tried to play on guitar as well. It just reminds me of my youth. I don't listen to it very often because it puts me in a mental place that's part wistfulness and part happiness so it takes a lot out of me if that makes sense. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is my all-time favorite album as well. I wore out two LP albums from playing it so much Tears you apart, doesn't it? I know that feeling quite well.

  37. One of my very favorites Elton John songs. I saw him in concert at MSG in 1977 or 1978 and he did that song. I would have loved to have been able to play that piano intro myself.
