Adace! My night has been ruined! Are you serious? I know there is some old Japanese psych bAnd with name back in the Seventies but really? A band starts to climb to the top so the get sued over a generic name of GHOST??? Ghost B.C. is absolutely stupid! I will start a band tomorrow called Ghost A.D. The band will wear Peanuts ghost sheets and my lead singer will wear the Crown OF Thorns upside down, cloth panties and a giant blood stained cross on his back. The wireless microphone he will hold will look like a dildo. My band will cover the entire Maiden album backwards, Number Of The Beast. My band Ghost A.D. will do a better job than Dream Theater's crappy version! This is unreal. I will never buy a Ghost B.C. shirt. Lame! Perhaps I will make bootleg Ghost B.S. shirts and sell them in the parking lot. I will make a profit off of the false prophet Satan. Then I will give half of my money to Jesus Christ Superstar.2 points

Over the years, I've been noticing many people have different opinions on different albums Rush has put out. Being the guitar is too boring, Geddy's voice getting deeper, etc. But I was thinking, last night, that I honestly can't say I dislike any of their albums. So, it got me wondering as to why this is. And it kind of all boils down to my huge fanship of Geddy. Everything about him since the start of Rush's career has been exceedingly phenomenal. Whether it's to his bass skills, talent doing multiple things at once, or his voice. Now, I may be the only one who follows this band primarily for Geddy. Of course I still think Neil and Alex have tremendous amount of talent. But, I seriously can say I may be one of the lucky ones in the world who thoroughly enjoys every Rush album. I need to know if there are any others who do! Even enjoying Counterparts, Vapor Trails, Feedback, or even their self-titled album. Anyone with me?1 point

I'm shocked at some of the bands that are being mentioned here. Your 5 least favorite songs ever. Would you rather listen to this instead of the Stones? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geC2gHZ6m2g Huey Lewis is worse than this? I think some of you are not setting your sights very high there (or would it be low?). :LMAO:1 point

we all come from different backgrounds and have different experiences with funerals/death/dying. Funerals are for the living...to remember your loved one..to say goodbye. Available Light seems to contain appropriate beauty—yes/no? The only reservation I'd have with Available Light is some of the lyrics (...some half forgotten stranger, doesn't mean that much to me...) I'm quite certain that isn't the desired sentiment although it is a beautiful song. I'd want Bravado played at mine - that has always been a poignant song to me and a personal favourite with strong personal ties. I like the idea of an upbeat song - Closer to the Heart, or The Spirit of Radio perhaps, or a favourite song (if known) perhaps. Time Stand Still would fit the bill as an upbeat feeling song that remembers a friend.1 point

Actually I think the best Halford scream is on this, it starts around the 2.58 mark:1 point

What a great song! And a great scream! I remember I was working freelance in a magazine, doing the graphics, I had this song up and the director came in the office at the exact second of the scream and went: What the F-k is THAT????? Priceless!!!!! :laughing guy:1 point

En Vogue puts Destiny's Child to shame. En Vogue was like 4 Mariah Careys (in her prime) and by that I mean 8 octave singers. Great stuff. http://i.imgur.com/V3Pm3zM.jpg1 point

The Garden and Hope are perfect choices, I honestly would want to have those two played at my funeral. You're an awesome friend for coming on here and asking us about this. I'm sorry about your loss. It's a tough thing but he's in a much better place. I'll keep you guys in my prayers. I'm sure all God plays in heaven are Rush songs. :D1 point

Heck yes! And only recently have I delved into albums that I hadn't really explored before, in some cases at all. A lot of the 80s stuff just hadn't been on my radar, as most of my Rush had been brought to me courtesy of my brother and his Rush tastes. Was I ever missing out on so much good stuff! I've been suggesting songs to him, rubbing in his face some of the awesomeness that he's been missing out on. But quite frankly, one album I might end up skipping on my ipod is Moving Pictures - not because it's not that great, by any means, but because I've simply heard the first four songs so much already. And I totally agree (and suddenly I'm getting a flashback from my grade-school teacher admonishing me for starting a sentence with such words as 'because' or 'and' or 'but' - a no-no) with the awesomeness of Geddy. His voice is the first thing that attracted me to Rush, and he has some great singing in every single album Rush has done. Of course, there are great moments in each of the instruments (counting Geddy's vocals as an instrument). This is cliche, but there really is something for everyone in Rush, and the fact that opinions are divided among favourites within the band's repertoire says something, I think. (Though why so many people choose to look down on Vapor Trails is beyond me....). I, too, can be considered one of the lucky ones with regards to liking everything Rush. And after a year now of having Rush's entire catalogue stuck on my ipod, I can honestly say it's been the best collection of music I've ever chosen, and still say, "Ooh! This is a good one!" to just about every Rush song that randomly pops up. In comparison, The Beatles lasted for just a month and a half before I had to replace them!1 point

September has been an awesome month; Opeth, Steve Wilson and for their fans, Dream Theatre. A new Steve Hackett is due and we've had the Anathema acoustic album too. This year we've seen a truly outstanding Black Country Communion album and a return to form for Joe B. Blackfield released a decent album but there were backward steps for Beardfish and Wobbler. Yes hit new depths with their barrel-scraper of an album FFH.1 point

GREAT IDEA! You know you're a Rush fan when... 1. You've memorized Alex's, Geddy's, and Neil's birthdays, but don't even know your own friends/familys birthdays. 2. You get excited over soup. 3. You know what a shrimp cot is. 4. You frequently quote Rush lyrics/songs 5. You think jazz is weird. 6. You mention Rush at least 15 times day. 7. You always want to kick someone's ass if they make fun of Geddy in ANY way. 8. You want to have an airplane made out of beef. 9. You wish the alphabet ended not in only "y, z" but "y, y, z." 10. You smiled, laughed, and shook your head yes to every one of these.1 point

By far my favorite album, this definatly was the soundtrack of my life when I first bought it. This is the most difficult to choose from (thankfully I already decided a while ago), but I went with The Analog Kid. The lyrics "When I leave I dont know what I'm hoping to find, and when I leave I dont know what I'm leaving behind" still are some of the most haunting I have heard. In a close second is Subdivisions, and Losing It, but there isnt a single song that doesnt still send chills down my spine when I hear them.1 point
