The results are in:
  • The Cure
  • Stevie Nicks
  • Radiohead
  • Def Leppard
  • Janet Jackson
  • Roxy Music
  • The Zombies

Terrific list!

Really happy to see solo Nicks enter. An underrated icon.

You think so? I feel Stevie Nicks is held in very high esteem within the music world.

A huge part of Mac's later success. But does her solo stuff really represent rock's greatest work?

I say this is a fairly weak group.

Had they added devo and todd Rundgren i would been thought higher....
How the heck does DEVO not get in?  :banghead:
Because they aren't really that good.
Devo is great.
As someone told me, "says you"

Why are they great?

you like green day
Because they are great.

it all keeps adding up, I think mith's cracking up...

You should at least like their premise as a band because they're all about the de-evolution this country is going through, especially on the political front.

They tore down all expectations of music and video and they built it back up into a new way of experiencing music and video. And they did it with a wonderful sense of humor.

Liking specific music is subjective, like what you like. But, Devo contributed enough to New Wave and Post-Punk to help define the genres. I think anyone who enjoys music can be objective about what a band like Devo accomplished.

Impactful, certainly.  Stevie Nicks, solo, was not.

Well said.  There's bands I don't like, but I recognize their impact.

Yeah they did their own thing and created something cool in a area not exactly known as a musical hotbed.

They did it the hard way.

Recently watched a few of their videos on amazon prime. For free and recommened
