  2. Fly By Night - his vocals are tuned down to owl from tweetie bird (0 votes [0.00%])

    Percentage of vote: 0.00%

  3. Caress of Steel - Neil's voice was deep but he needed crap tape effects, Lee had the real deep voice (0 votes [0.00%])

    Percentage of vote: 0.00%

  8. Moving Pictures - He sounds like Barry White on this one, I can't believe it's the same band (5 votes [11.90%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 11.90%

  9. Signals - Ever see the Adams Family? Think of Lurch, Geddy makes him sound like a little girl on this album (7 votes [16.67%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 16.67%

  10. Grace Under Pressure - By now Geddy's voice cannot be heard by the human ear, it's SO low! (1 votes [2.38%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 2.38%

  11. Power Windows - You need Power Windows to shut out the low sound waves that shudder through your body from Geddy's 1985 warbling (1 votes [2.38%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 2.38%

  12. Hold Your Fire - He caused an earthquake in New Zealand while recording this one (0 votes [0.00%])

    Percentage of vote: 0.00%

  19. Clockwork Angels - Clockwork Lee was the original title, all you can hear is ticking when he sings because of the low register (0 votes [0.00%])

Ged's voice was at its absolute, almost demonic peak in Waves

Look at Kirk's face there. He'd hump an ottoman if you left him alone for 2 minutes.
Or a flea-bitten bloodhound.

He would!

A five-year mission is a long time for Kirk!

An overnite trip is a long time for Kirk!
2 minutes is a long time for him!

Here is a little trivia for you guys and gals. What is the last song from a studio album that Geddy really forces his vocals and screams on? (It's kind of a trick question.)

that thing looks like it needs a trip to the local health department for antibiotics.

I can't believe that got past the censors in the 60s and got aired.

He pushes vocals a little here. If anyone has seen the making of this song, Geddy was the only artist that only had to do one take for his line. Anne Murray was asked to do a second take but they ended up using her first take.

I'm also going with Permanent Waves. I am not sure if he couldn't do the shrieky voice thing anymore or if he just didn't because the music no longer called for it.

Well, you might not remember the episode but Kirk was hiding it in his mouth for most it. Gagging would've been a problem for most mortals but not for the captain of the Enterprise!

his vocal style was a lot more chilled out on permanent waves it seems. nothing shriek-y like the albums prior. i mean shit, after cygnus x-1 book I i bet he probably didn't wanna yell like that anymore. sounded like it hurt.
