  1. I guess I would say Permanent Waves is my main obession with this band. But I could name about 5-6 other albums I often go back to the most.
  2. I was just there about 5-6 weeks ago. I took all the Rush pics too. Thanks for uploading this. I didn't see the setlist one when I was there. It was cool to see that.
  3. I think Presto is underrated. It's far from a "classic" but there's some strong, dark, and brooding stuff I really like on the album. I also think that "Signals" gets a bad wrap because of the BEAST it followed up. That's another album I love a lot.
  4. For me, it's all going to depend on how they tell Freddie's story, and how honest and real it feels. I don't want a fluff piece. I want to see the real story of a music icon. I'll likely check it out, but I have realistic expectations.
  5. Only a few. Or as i call it "NOT NEARLY ENOUGH." But when you're my age, you wish you could have seen a lot more bands. I'm just happy i got to see them. I just wish I had been born much earlier in their career.
  6. I can't get enough of "Circumstances" lately. And it's been in my head for a solid 3 days or so now.
  7. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, and The Office are my usuals.
  8. All I know is that the scene was cool, but leaving out Permanent Waves is NOT. Lol!
  9. It wouldn't do me any good as a married man, but the idea might work. What better thing for people to bond and fall in love over.
  10. That website has some amazing stuff for wallpapers and photos. Awesome post!
  11. I usually prefer to let an album play through. But, there are some days where I want or crave hearing a certain song, and i will go right to it. So, I'll take the easy way out and say I'm a good mix of both these days.
  12. It doesn't matter to me. The more people who hear and appreciate their music the better.
  13. "MOTHA F**KA!" - Marcellus Wallace
  14. I've probably got about 30-40 vying for 1st Place. If there's even such a thing. But I am going to go with the one from the Rush song that introduced me to the band, and the song that has helped me in my times of darkness. -------------------------------------- "Begin the day With a friendly voice A companion, unobtrusive Plays that song that's so elusive And the magic music makes your morning mood"
  15. I've learned the odd sounding mix a lot of the album seems to have, because hearing the songs live changed how I hear and appreciate them. It's helped me look deeper into the music and creativity in the album. I think it's a highlight (one of many) of their career.
  16. I think "The Camera Eye" is better than nearly every single track on the masterpiece that is Moving Pictures. "The Enemy Within" is probably my favorite track from GUP. I think it's them peaking as a band that wanted to fuse different styles in their music. I think this song shows that peak ability. I like "Presto" as an album. Some real heavy hitters on the album.
  17. I love this album, so It's tough. I think I can say a Top 3 and let it be that. 1. The Wreckers 2. Headlong Flight 2. The Garden
  18. Avengers: Infinity War BIG SHOCKER, i know. LOL! And I enjoyed it a lot.
  19. This is a funny concept, and I loved the first one. I hope you make more. This is something many of us will be able to laugh and relate to.
  20. While I do believe the '90s was the "weakest" part of their career by a lot, it still had the fantastic album "Counterparts", and a ton of good songs, so I can't be bothered by that era too much. I think they went down a less exciting and creative direction (IMO), and some didn't like it. I would say it's their least interesting time, personally. I don't love all the albums, but it's tough to call any of their albums "bad." Are there some weak(er) ones in the bunch? Oh yes. I have 3-4 personally that I would probably rank at or near the bottom. But Rush is still Rush. And that's good enough for me.
  21. This is pretty awesome! Thanks for sharing with your fellow fans. ROCK ON!
  22. 1. Permanent Waves 2. Signals 3. Moving Pictures
  23. Presto is an unfairly maligned album in their catalog. S & A, minus the fantastic instrumentals on the album, isn't aging as well as some of their other albums. I alo, now. Despite being a classic, and knowing all the lyrics, "Closer to the Heart" has never been a favorite of mine, and I often wish other Rush "ballads" had gotten as popular. I have always found "Roll the Bones" to be the most droll album in their catalog. Not quite sure what they were going for on that album.
