Is this played out?

wow, I completely disagree with The Professor here

So under this line of thinking, Rush's debut would be much better were it been recorded now, with all the learned experience the band has gained ?

Or one of his kids' drawings could be bettered if Picasso recreated it ?

Neil is so damn practical, and it has gotten in the way of warmth and sincerity

The edge of this...the edge of that...the razors edge...edge....that and the Gadd fill which only works in certain musical situations...sometimes (most?) When Neil plays it it sounds out of place and throws the flow.....its basically the "bucket of fish" fill...and Bonham and Appice played it years ago.....

Having said that Rush play better now than back when....more relaxed and confident as players....Lee in particular on R40 was pretty amazing....Neils about 100% better too....this is why they will do more studio Rush even if they never tour again...which I don't think they will.

Sightseeing in China.

I don't know if I agree, I might like more of that shit.

:gasp: Have you dropped your tag phrase?!?!?

No, I thought Tai Shan might have been confusing in that exchange.

Oy, that debate tonight see the Tai Shan flinging back and forth?

Hahahaha! "Tai Shan" does not equal ape shit that is flung back and forth.

"Tai" is like a fuckking Tai stick that many humans smoke.

The song is eternal and amazing.

It's EPIC to my monkey ears.

You Rush Fakes just don't get it.

"Tai Shan" has some of Lifeson's best guitar work.

You probably just listen to the f***ing lyrics.

Thank GOD or WHOEVER I'm a drummer.

I focus on music.

Never the lyrics.

Shame Shame Shame.

Love,

RATT

Yep!

It's the YEAR OF THE MONKEY!! So don't f**k with me. I'm a monkey. 1968!

Neil should write lyrics about how fat and stupid Americans are. He seems to love that theme in his books

Hmm...yeah...won't argue that we aren't BUT it seems like an easy target that should be beyond most writers or even casual commentators. Peart isn't exactly slim anymore or even remotely so in the last 10+ years.
