Lorraine
Mr. Tambourine Man - The Byrds I thought that had come out earlier than 1965. When did Eight Miles High come out?
Lorraine
Looks like The Byrds had two albums on the charts. Remember The Paul Butterfield Blues Band? The Kinks, The Zombies, Miles Davis, Donovan, Phil Ochs, Otis Redding and Herb Alpert! :)
JohnRogers
I was under the impression just one year at a time which is ATM 1965...Off the top of my head I don't know what was released that year.Yeah I got nothing. I wouldn't be born for two more years. When I think 1965 all I think is Mustang and Barracuda. Were The Who a band yet?

blueschica
The song that always comes to mind with me and 1965, actually in 1965, is the Stones' "Satisfaction." I was a little girl with my first two wheeler bike and my dad gave me a transistor radio he had won at work. I rubber-banded it to the handlebars, like the other kids in our neighborhood, and that was the song that always seemed to be on that summer. Nice memories, although our neighborhood was on a steep hill!
The Analog Cub
I Can't Get No Satisfaction is another huge one for '65. I'm not a big Stones fan but like My Generation that song has well surpassed the test of time.

ReRushed
'65 was a good year for the Beach Boys...with even better moments to come. The Beach Boys Today! is hit and miss. "Bull Session with the Big Daddy" is a waste of vinyl. Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!) is definitely the step towards better moments to come. Beach Boys' Party! is a blast. "Barbara Ann" is classic fun. And the Beach Boys were a pretty good Beatles cover band.

Lorraine
That's probably the last time The Beach Boys looked like that. 1965 was a pivotal year - out with the old, in with the ... uhm ... new? Nothing was ever the same again after that year.
