GernTheFish
What are your favorite bass lines (aka licks) in a Rush song? Of course there are so many to choose from. The bass in Alien Shore always amazes me, in the part of the song that starts "You and I..." (I think that's considered a verse). Seems so messy, but works perfectly.
The Analog Cub
Territories chorus, and when he plays it again at the end of the song.
AnEggplant
La Villa Strangiato is a strong contender I think.

Segue Myles
Digital Man I am gonna go replay this now...not sure I have ever paid attention to the bass line!
edhunter
Digital Man I am gonna go replay this now...not sure I have ever paid attention to the bass line! Wow. Its about the busiest bass line in Rush's entire catalogue. Transcribing it took forever.

presto123
Territories chorus, and when he plays it again at the end of the song. It would be Territories verse right? I believe the chorus is bass pedals.
Geddy's Soul Patch
Hemispheres is my favorite of all time. Also love his work on Xanadu, The Big Money, Cinderelle Man, Emotion Detector, Turn the Page, and Natural Science
presto123
Driven and Leave That Thing Alone are pretty damn cool. Also the first half of the solo section in Emotion Detector. Edited November 6, 2015 by presto123
Lorraine
How about The Body Electric? It sounds hard to me, but that doesn't mean it necessarily is.

It's very fast, constantly moves all over the neck and he almost never plays the exact same thing twice!
Jomboni
How about The Body Electric? It sounds hard to me, but that doesn't mean it necessarily is. The solo is a little tricky but overall it's not hard. Most of the stuff on Grace is not very hard.

Jomboni
Ohh yeah. I figured that might be what you meant. The whole song is pretty dang hard but that's probably one of the easier parts.
Rutlefan
That little bit in The Larger Bowl right before Alex's guitar solo kicks in (around 2:50). Love that. Edited November 6, 2015 by Rutlefan

Geddy Jazz
All of Rush´s albums are a " non confessed " bass album by themselves...with all respect to the wootens and sheehans of the world...Geddy stands up apart...only Jaco had that kind of creativity on the instrument.... :geddy:
graxxus
Digital Man. Yes. Territories. Yes. Turn the Page is pretty insane on the verse. Watching him play that on ASOH is always a thrill.
