I love broadway so much.

it's so not cool to say.

but it's kinda beating out "regular" music for me right now.

i was raised on this stuff.

and it's funny my love for theater carries over to rock sometimes.

i'll just be like Listening to l say Iron Maiden and i'll be.

"Wow that note was so well placed......and the phrasing.........brava!!!"

Yea well years and years of cast recordings people, lol

By the way, Mick, I had a dream about you last night. Honest.

The only thing I remember is that we were going someplace special that night. We were in a department store and I decided to have my makeup done by one of the makeup artists at the counter rather than do my own makeup.

Not very exciting, but it's the only thing I remember now. Should have written it down when I got up.

that's funny, lol

i've had dreams about people here.

don't remember most, lol

I wish TRF forum was an actual building sometimes for us to all hang out.

I played one Prince song and I am telling you you, his entire eighties run is woefully underrated and I cannot believe Rush fans, who think they know so much, ignore an amazing talent like Prince. I mean, fair enough he was an appalling tennis player but it can't be denied he was an amazing presence in Dances With Wolves but even then I miss those nights when I'd stay up late and eat cheese and crackers but oh well let me go jump off a bridge. I mean does anyone like me? Who knows maybe I should ask tumblr oh wait tumblr hates everything. Oh it hates me. That equals the whole world. Woe is me my toe stubbed against a OOH CHICKEN SUB SANDWICH TIME!

I wish it was a club too. That's what it feels like here sometimes anyway. Especially on Saturdays.

That's what it is really - a club - but it's not real even though the people are - one flick of the electric switch and poof. We all disappear as if we never existed. Sad.

I bet that the majority of "issues" and "Drama" that happen onsite would NOT happen if we were all actually in a building. Instead of on the 'Net.

True. people do act differently face to face.

well most people anyway.

i call it internet ballls

lol

So that Yes album is just a construct of the internet's imagination? No wonder I haven't heard it!

Or is there another reason you capitalized Drama. ;)

Purple Rain is clicking

it really is a great piece of work.

i can why people wouldn't like it........but to me it's addicting.

Mick

I think waiting a day or two was helpful. I gotta hold off on the next listen too

Purple Rain (title track) is a perfect song. Never fails to move me.

i love that vocal........and the solo.

it's amazing the difference between Genesis peter and solo.

i feel like his Genesis stint was WAY to shtick-y

He really explored musically so i feel.

He got more direct as an lyricist...even when telling a story. That was definitely a key element.

Also, he didn't write all the Genesis lyrics during his tenue. Sure, he wrote a lot of them (The Lamb in particular, Supper's Ready) but many of them were handled by Banks and Rutherford.
