Great, great album. Every track comes alive, and, as noted, Paul's voice is perfect. I haven't shelled out the cash to get this re-boot, but you folks are selling me on it.

You should. To (closely) paraphrase I line I once read that I love: "McCartney's voice is one of the greatest musical instruments of all time."

One of the inserts indicates Venus and Mars and Wings at the Speed of Sound are coming soon. I love Venus and Mars.

I didn't see the Deluxe version. What does that include?

Check out the first post of this thread...pretty comprehensive.

Let me know how the Cow Palace stuff is.

I remember watching the TV special on a Friday night as a kid. My parents let me stay up for it. I was just beginning my love affair with The Beatles' music at the time (I was probably 9 or 10 I think). It was the first time I heard Maybe I'm Amazed, which remains one of my favorite songs of all time.

Maybe I'm Amazed. Missed being a Beatles song by >this much<. Written while a Beatle. Amazing powerful song. Songs from the heart usually are.

As was Cold Turkey. I think I read in a book by Nicholas Schaeffer(?) that John brought it to Paul and Paul didn't like it. John said something to the effect of "Bugger you, I'll put it out myself."

Yeah, I think Paul was a little turned off by the subject matter. I like Cold Turkey, but it probably would have been a little out of place on Abbey Road.

This album was released my senior year of college and we played the hell out of it in the dorms. I never bought it on CD but I may need to add this to my collection.

Seeing Paul McCartney tonight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

I've been to thousands of concerts over the years and this my first time seeing him live.

To say I am excited, is an understatement.

Been on a McCartney marathon for a couple of weeks now.

Loving the Wings Over America...great trip down memory lane!

I'll be there! It's my second time. I saw him at Yankees Stadium and it was fantastic. I killed myself for not seeing him sooner.

38 Songs at Saturday's show at Barclays and 25 of them were Beatles songs.

You're going to love it. I saw him at Fenway Park a few years ago. One of the best shows I ever saw. Enjoy.

As a Beatles fan I really appreciate the dedications to John and George. And Linda. As successful as Paul McCartney is it can be easy to forget the loss he has endured.

And I laughed when he jokingly referred to "All Together Now" as "one of our intellectual songs."

I couldn't agree more...the dedications were very touching without bringing the mood down.

Also, his story about Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton was good to hear as well.

This show really was top of the lot for me.

Yes, great stories and a great sense of humor throughout the concert.

"Hi Hi Hi" totally rocked. McCartney has a FANTASTIC band backing him up. Hell, he's probably played with them longer than he did The Beatles!

I've been showing everyone this setlist today. It is unbelievable! Fortunately, I saw Sir Paul in 2008 (?) at Fenway. Terrible sound (not Paul's fault at all ... it's a ball park), but his show was one of the finest I've ever seen and I'm very happy that I got to see a living legend perform so well. I won't be seeing him this time around, but seeing the setlist sure makes me wish I were seeing him on this tour.

Thanks, RGLT, and congrats to both you and ReRushed who witnessed what sounds like a stellar show.

:hug2:
